While I can agree with what you say, you have to keep in mind that the library has internet, friends and family may have internet, or these people may have internet at work. Even so, if they have it home, it does not make this situation right. At all.

You are so right. That is exactly how I feel. My BFF and her hubs have a 3 year old, and they are struggling. They will not get goverment assistance, though. They are trying to make it on their own and pay their own way. It makes me admire her that much more. The baby never goes with out, but the two of them have sacrificed so much. They are another example why the system ticks me off.

What is the H Post? I want the welfare program reformed. I am tired of seeing/hearing about people that REALLY need it that are unable to do so. When I was in college, I worked at a routing office for service repair techs. The call center was below us, and occasionaly the departments swapped employees if one was overrun and needed help. That opened my eyes. The girls in the call center would NOT work over the cut off hours for welfare. If you worked a certain amount of hours a week, your amount was reduced. Well, why couldn't they have just had an application to fill out on line? Also, if you are on government assistance and can't afford to pay rent or food, you should not have internet access at your home.
