Thank you all! CeeJay - There will be some fundraisers in the future, but they are not for sure yet of dates, etc. We just did a poker run last weekend, and there will be another one this fall. There are some others in the works as well. They do have an account set up by a close friend at Tennessee Valley Credit Union for people that would like to donate. If anyone is interested I can certainly get the information. They do have insurance, but with copays and her yearly max, and travel costs, etc, the bills are stacking up. I did just get some good news!! They are starting the chemo ne

Momof3, I got up this morning and was thinking of him and wondering of his condition. I can't believe this. I am so sorry for all involved; the family of this young man, the co-workers, and the biker who lost not only his wife but his leg as well. This is terrible news. I will keep them all in mt thoughts and prayers. This is just terrible all around

ahahahahaha Oh, and I meant to add, these streets are not wide or big. It looks like normal, narrow streets in a subdivision. I didn't even hear about that! They didn't say anything about that!

Thank you! I am going to do this. I never realized how easy it was to become part of the registry, and honestly, it never occured to me. I guess that is why I was suprised at the donor's age. I wouldn't have thought of that at 19. Thank you!

Yes, I agree with that. But, the mom took a home video before and they showed it on the news. These aren't 5 yr. olds. More like older elementary or middle school. Looked like 6th or 7th graders to me.

It was on CBS, Comcast chan. 6. Dagmar is getting on my nerves. I never watch this station. However, tonight's "Disaster of Epic Proportions in Paulding" and the angry customer at the Pot & Pan diner was worth it.

You are soooo right. It's funny, but oh so sad at the same time. Kind of like teaching your kids their entitled to something. As if they are the only ones ever in this situation Gawd. I caught the bus at the top of my street, just like everyone else on my bus routes in school.

AHAHAHA! I had it on to fall asleep to, just in case. That was it! Those kiddos have to go two houses down! Not the end of the driveway! Wow. LOL, that is my favorite saying lately for some reason.

I wonder... Crap. I was about to go to sleep. Should I stay awake to watch? Meh. I'll wait and read about it on here. LOL

Thank you so much. And thank you, too!

Yes, please do. But be sure to come back on here and let us know the answer. I'm nosey as heck. LOL But I seriously for the life of me don't have a clue as to why someone would call the news on this.

Thank you guys! She is doing as well as to be expected, I guess. They have decided to do treatments at the children's hospital in Cincinnati as they have better resources for Hurler's and experience in treatment. About a month ago she had her first round of surgeries. I am not sure what the actual procedures are called, but they went in and removed excess tissue from her throat (she had been unable to swallow after a rapid build up of the tissue), her tear ducts were re-opened (also closed due to rapid tissue build up), and she had her port for the enzyme treatments installed. After her

I understand where you are coming from. It isn't selfish at all, if that is what you mean by "right". At least, I don't think it is. I feel the same way, though it hasn't been as long as 3 years of really trying, but long enough.
