I have heard that phrase used also. There just seems to be a lack of respect and civility in society today, therefore it is going to carry over to our kids. You see it everywhere - especially in the media -tv, movies and music. We can't really blame the kids -we have to blame the adults and I hope it's not too late to change the direction.

My DIL is a hairstylist in Albuquerque. When I first met her I was surprised at the number of tattoos she has. She has tattoos all down her arms and she wore a sleeveless dress in their wedding. Her mother is a Mennonnite minister and I have never asked her what she thought about it but she never seemed to be bothered by the tattoos. My DIL just turned 30 and they have two children. She's a very sweet young lady, good mother and a great hairstylist.

I've raised two through the teen years, they're grown with their own families now. They moved in and out when they were teens because they did not get along with their step-dad, and they still don't - they don't even come to my house any more. Now I have a 15 year old who doesn't get along with his dad. To hear both my son and his dad everything that's wrong is my fault. We're going through medical and financial problems which makes everything harder. I have been raising kids for 36 years, I really need a break. I cannot imagine having four so close in age, especially at those ages. Som
