Jump in your car and go see your dad. We are still dealing with the shock of losing my mother-in-law this week and wish we had spent more time with her.

My grown sons and their friends would hang out at my house when they were teenagers and I would come home from work and find empty cans all over the place and had to put a stop to it. When they would hang out at another friends place they were allowed one free drink and after that they would have to pay something to drink more which I thought was a good idea.

I fell asleep about an hour ago with my hand on the mouse while I was looking at pcom - for about 30 minutes and will probably fall asleep again real soon.

I would like to do that too but I'm the only one that watches the local channels. DH and DS watch the history channels and hockey.

It is just so sad that so many of us have our own stories and first-hand knowledge of dealing with family members with addictions. There are no easy solutions but I sure wish it could be stopped. METH IS THE DEVIL!!!!! I hope your brother gets to where he wants the help.

I got home from Lawrenceville just in time to see Scotty win.

She will probably get what's coming to her one of these days and hopefully she won't take anyone else with her.

Actually I was thinking that if the Rapture happened my mother-in-law would have been taken instead of struggling to stay alive in the hospital. She lost that battle yesterday morning. We are losing our house and will probably be moving into her house in Lawrenceville - but I wish she was still there instead. She is being laid to rest tomorrow.

Wow! What a tough break for Lauren. This will be tough for Haley without any preparation time.

I used to work for a company called Indiana Grain, a division of Indiana Farm Bureau Coop from 1973 to 1985. Most of my customer were in Georgia so I remember those names of Gold Kist, Holly Farms, Con Agra, Fieldale Farms, Archer Daniels Midland. The company was bought out by someone not sure who. I do know the grain elevator in Indianapolis is now owned by ADM. I usually buy Tyson chicken breasts when they are on sale at Kroger.

My mom's recipe - my favorite cookie. Cream together the following: 1 cup white sugar 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup peanut butter 1 cup shortening or margarine (I always use shortening) 2 eggs 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Dry ingredients: 3 cups flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt Mix well. Roll into balls place on cookie sheet and flatten a little with fork in a crisscross pattern. Bake at 350. Boy I'd love some right now!! You can also add chocolate chips if you want.

No not the same Nellie- she lived in Lawrenceville and hasn't been able to work in years. Thank you everyone for your kind words. Now my husband and I both have lost both of our parents - my sons no longer have any grandparents alive. It seems really strange for them all to be gone.

My mother-in-law passed this morning after fighting for several days. RIP Nellie. We will miss you.
