Jimmy Kimmel's newborn son had heart surgery

You feel no need to dehumanize people who disagree with your politics but you felt a need to take Jimmy's story and make it about yourself and your lack of healthcare. Seemed to me that he was trying to make what he said as non-political as possible by including every American and every party. It's not a difference of politics that I'm even talking about, it's a difference of perception and how people are more willing to react to the possible political side of a story, rather than the human part first. To me, that's sad. I think most people can accept Jimmy's story for what it was, a scared fa -

I call it like I see it. When your first response is to think of yourself or your politics after hearing a heartfelt story, you're probably lacking. -
Jimmy Kimmel's newborn son had heart surgery

Words from a friend who has been there. I met so many people that were denied financial assistance and even disability medicaid because they made "too much." When the hospital bills top seven figures, how can anyone make too much?! I joined several preemie groups during/after our nicu stay and was appalled by how many families were forced to declare bankruptcy due to the cost of their infant's life-saving measures. It's such a disgrace. None of the people who saved my sons' lives are swimming in pools filled with money or driving 24 carat gold cars. But the insurance executives are. It -

I literally LOLed at the end when I read it was written by Michelle Malkin. Because she such a beacon for political fairness. I've actually got some opinions from moms on both sides of the aisle who have children with life-threatening illnesses and they pretty much agreed with what Jimmy Kimmel said. Of course they're not a paid political hacks so I guress their opinion doesn't really count. Humanity is dying in America. -

Seemed pretty heartfelt to me. He wants pre-existing conditions to remain covered and he wants the poor to have the same access to good health care that he has. Not sure how anyone could disagree with that but whatever. Sometimes people only see what they want to see. I have to wonder about people who listened to his story and immediately scream politics. It was so much more than that. -

What Jimmy said- “If your baby is going to die, and it doesn’t have to, it shouldn’t matter how much money you make. I think that’s something now, whether you’re a Republican or Democrat, or something else, we all agree on that, right? Whatever your party, whatever you believe, whoever you support, we need to make sure that people who are supposed to represent us — and people who are meeting about this right now in Washington — understand that very clearly. Let’s stop with the nonsense. This isn’t football, there are no teams. We are the team, it’s the United States. Don’t let thei -
Right? Seems like the captain thinks about LGBT people more than actual LGBT people do.

Everybody needs to leave The Girl Scouts alone. It's so frustrating that EVERYTHING has to be political. Eat some Tagalongs and let them be!

Really? Because those Bush tax cuts work out so well? -
Some of us read books to learn and some of us read books to support our world view and narrative. One example is actually learning, the other is more like indoctrination.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will retire following the 2017 NASCAR season

I'm not so sure about the tradition, Heritage, Nazi, PC comments but Dale Jr definitely had an advantage due to his dad. I'm not surprised he retired. If you ain't first, you're last. -
Innocent people are dying in America every day. Where's the outrage? It's amusing to watch Republicans act like they suddenly care about Muslims or North Koreans, simply because it justifies War and bombings. The word translucent comes to mind because I can see right through it.

We've had an increasing amount of crows over the past few years. Last year I saw one pluck a baby bird right out of its nest and fly away. They're big meanies!!

"Having an autism spectrum disorder in an ableist world means that you’re constantly exposed to cruel irony. Most frequently, this comes in the form of neurotypical (i.e. non-autistic) people who tell you, incorrectly, that you can’t or don’t feel empathy like them, and then stubbornly refuse to care about your feelings when they claim that you’re lost, that you’re a burden, and that your life is a constant source of misery for you and everyone who loves you. There’s also my current favorite: parents who are willing to put the lives of countless human beings at risk because they’re so afraid t

Yes, I've seen the people working in the space that used to be Jalapeno Joes. I drive by there daily and still no sign. I'm curious to see what it will be. I don't think any Mexican restaurant in the vicinity will survive with Los Magueyes there. That place is the best IMO.
