I know what my heart is like
    Since your love died:
It is like a hollow ledge
    Holding a little pool
    Left there by the tide,
    A little tepid pool,
    Drying inward from the edge.

    Caring For Your Toys 101

Always clean your toys before & after any use. Use micro fiber towels and a toy cleaner or light soap & warm water. Keep all toys out of direct sunlight and away from extreme heat sources.

Unless specified, all toys are NOT water proof or water resistant. Remove batteries before extended storage.

Some materials used in the manufacturing of some toys have been known to cause irritation and/or allergic reactions when in contact with sensitive areas of the body in some people. These may include, but are not limited to, various chemical forms of plastic, latex, rubber, glass, wood and silicone.

The use of a condom may reduce the risk of infection, STD’s and/or irritation but there is no guarantee.

    Glass

•Wash glass toys with soap and water. Pyrex toys are dishwasher safe. Do not expose glass to extreme temperatures.

    Hard Plastic

•Clean with anti-bacterial soap and water. Do not boil.

    Silicone

•3 options: boil for 5-10 minutes, put it in your dishwasher (on top rack), or wash with anti-bacterial soap and warm water.
•Do not boil silicone vibrators because you will destroy the vibrator mechanism.

    Rubber materials

•Rubber materials are porous and difficult to clean. For this reason, it is recommended to use condoms with these types of toys. If a condom is not used, rubber materials should be cleaned with an approved “toy” cleaner.

    Cyberskin and Vinyl

•Cyberskin is soft and porous. Wash cyberskin and vinyl toys with an approved “toy” cleaner or light soap and water. You may powder your cyberskin toys with corn starch or a light, unscented baby powder for storage. (this will prevent them from becoming “sticky”

Do NOT use a silicon-based lubricant with any “cyberskin” toys. Do not let them come in contact with any other toy, as different chemical compounds will weaken or destroy the cyberskin.

    Nylon

•Nylon harnesses and toys can be machine or hand washed with a mild anti-bacterial soap.

    Leather

•Wipe leather products with a damp, soapy cloth or with leather cleaner. Do not soak leather. After cleaning, you may recondition your toy using a leather conditioner. Protect metal parts from tarnish by applying a coating of clear nail polish.

    What's in a lube?

The following is a guide on why lubes are a necessity for safe, sexy fun.

    WHAT IS A LUBRICANT?
Any solution - oil or water based that helps increase motion and cut down on friction can be considered a lubricant - even just plain water.
    .
    WHY DO I NEED ONE?
Everybody at some time is going to need a lubricant and for some sexual activities it an absolute MUST. For women, there are times that the body just does not generate enough vaginal fluid and many things can affect this - time of the month, stress, recent child birth, antihistamines, decongestants, menopause, antidepressants, antihypertensives and cardiac agents. All of these things can contribute to vaginal dryness. Under any of these circumstances a lubricant will make vaginal penetration more pleasurable. In this age of safer sex the use of a lubricant on the inside of a condom can make the sensations delivered to the penis much stronger. Anyone that is using some adult sexual aid should consider a lubricant because of the dryness of the materials that adult toys are made from. For anyone engaging in any kind of anal sex a lubricant is an ABSOLUTE MUST! Without lubrication severe damage can occur. There is absolutely no reason to feel any kind of discomfort after sexual activity when applying a lubricant is so easy but there are several things you need to know. Some lubricants can be harmful and some just don't work as well as others.
    .
    OIL BASED LUBRICANTS
Oil based products have been used as lubricants for a very long time. Things like Vaseline and baby oil are petroleum based. The first problem is that they leave a coating on the vaginal wall that is very hard to get rid of - thus increasing the chance of bacteria and other infections. The second problem using an oil based lubricant is that the chemicals break down and destroy latex condoms, diaphrams, cervical caps, sponges, as well as the protective coatings around some IUDs and any sexual device made of latex. This can also apply to body oils and creams which are never very good lubricants because they are absorbed into the skin too fast. If oil based lubes are your absolute preference just be aware of the limitations.
    .
    WATER BASED LUBRICANTS
The best all-purpose lubricants are water-based and especially formulated to be non-irritating. Once again, buying a lubricant is going to come down to personal preference - some provide light lubrication and some heavy lubrication. Water-Based lubes use two main ingredients: Water and Glycerin. Since the main ingredient is water, water-based lubes do tend to dry up quickly. Make sure to keep a water spray bottle handy to reactivate the lube when it dries up. If lubricants are going to end up in your mouth then a flavored lubricant is what you might consider buying. Some flavored lubricants are for external use only and should not be used inside the vaginal tract. If you intend to use flavored lubricants during intercourse, read the ingredients to see if it contains sugar. Sugar can cause infections inside the vaginal tract. Water-based Lubes clean up with soap and water.
    .
    SILICONE BASED LUBRICANTS
The newest lubrication products on the market are silicone based. While they make a great body lubricant they also appear to cause damage to some silicone adult toys so your best choice if you are using any silicone products is to stick with water-based lubricants. Like Water-Based lubes, Silicone-lubes can be safely used with all condoms. Silicone-Based lubes are excellent to use because they do not dry up like Water-Based lubes do. Silicone-based lubes are a bit harder to clean up, but a little extra soap and water does the trick.
    .
    ANAL LUBES
As previously stated "Never Every Try Any Anal Penetration Without Using A Lubricant". If you are practicing safe sex oil based lubes are out of the question and you should consider using heavy water based lubricants.
    .
    FOR TOYS
Both Oil based and Silicone based lubricants can damage adult toys. Either use a water-based lube or protect your toys with a condom.
    .
    .
    BEST TIP
There are many lubricants on the market - once again this is going to come down to personal preference but always do a sensitivity test on your inner arm or inner thigh first before using a lubricant for the first time.

Well, I'm on a roll this morning

Let's think about the simple things ~ the really simple things ~ like our Sunday morning newspaper - loaded with coupons that we will never use ~

guess what? I found someone that can! (If it can be recycled, I'll find a way) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    http://www.ocpnet.org/

Our program serves military families by assisting you to forward "manufacturer's coupons" to overseas military bases. These bundles of coupons are placed on tables, at the PX and Commissary, or handed out for use by military members and families on base. This helps the family save valuable dollars and stretch their budget.

This is not a tax deductible charity. This is a patriotic charity. You are supporting the service person and their family by sending coupons that you do not use, and all of the extra ones that you can find, to them. The service pay rates are no longer below the poverty level, but they are in no way great. They appreciate your assistance.

My adopted base is in Iwakuni, Japan (it's a USMC base of course)

At first I doubted the importance of this one - seemed TOO simple to make a difference, but I have been told by a friend of mine (whose hubby/family were stationed in Japan) that this program really helps! She did mention that the greatest need (in her opinion) was for baby coupons -

overseas, they do not have the "store brands" to choose from, so it's all or nothing - and 'all' can get rather expensive!

~ ** Please remember, Expired coupons are OK - when used overseas, they can be used for up to 6 months AFTER the exp. date **~

I send one box per month - if you'd like to toss some of your 'unused' or 'expired' coupons my way, please let me know!

A huge thanks to Creative One who, without fail, leaves a bag FULL of coupons for me every few weeks!!

Another huge thanks to PauldingBabe who, without asking for anything in return, will spend her time helping me cut out the danged little things!

Such a simple thing to do .... instead of tossing your empty in the trash, send it our way! We will take care of the rest!

so...... if you will, bug your neighbors, bug your co-workers, heck.... bug your boss too

you wouldn't believe how long it takes me to fill up one little box before I can send it in

If you are able to help with this task, you can contact me directly, or drop the 'recycleables' off at the shelter

If interested in helping, please visit the site & take a peek at the list of ink jets not accepted ~ We are unable to send in any Epson brand ink jets, as well as those that have already been "recycled" (such as the ones you refill at home)

The list on 'non-accepted' ink jets is short -

    Thanks to everyone
