In addition to no volumn control, slow browser, touch screen not sensitive to the touch, no way to edit history causing a total lack of privacy, poor lacation of power button causing it to be easily turned off to name a few. It's been in the news alot.

Glad to hear good things about it. Was planning to purchase myself one in a month or so with tax refund but there's been so much negative feedback lately I have started to shun away.

If you're looking for the *Hedbanz* game for kids

Is this a fun game for adults too? -
It's funny how we forget as adults that kids take things literally and seriously. My middle schoolers and I were having a discussion on the way to school several years ago about 8th graders not being promoted if they didn't pass the CRCT. I jokingly made the remark that if they didn't pass and get promoted they would not be able to ride the bus the next year. They would have to get their own transportation. Several of the kids laughed. The next morning, one young man stopped and asked me if I was serious about them not being able to ride the bus next year if they didn't get promoted. Ble

This is on the subject but a little off. I drive a school bus and hear all kinds of stuff from my kids. I've been asked some pretty funny questions too. Like "What's your favorite monster truck?" and "were you born in the 18's or the 19's?" Meaning the 1800's or the 1900's. I have a bestie that I share these with. She says I gotta write a book one day. I LOVE my job!!

I moved here as a child in 1969. We didn't lock car doors then, but I do now since having my camera stolen out of my truck 3 years ago during the daytime. The windows were down, it was summertime. I grew up with parents who always locked the house doors at night so I have always done the same. There have always been nuts and mean people around even in the good ole days. Never worth the risk to us. Just seemed like the smart thing to do.

Do you mind me asking who your loan is with?

I probably spend more than I should on my son but I don't spend more than I can afford. I'm a single mom and he is my only one. This year will probably be $500-600, and that will include about $250 in clothes. I will add that I do not buy for him much during the year other than at Christmas and his birthday which is at the end of May. I buy clothes and shoes and stuff as he needs them but not in quantities enough to really enhance his wardrobe. He's a wonderful son and is great to help me around the house etc. so I enjoy buying and surprising him with things I know he likes. Other faml

Try Amazon. They have free shipping too. This is how I got my son's Wii a few years ago when there were NONE to be found in the stores. Was on my doorstep in 3 days, 2 days before Christmas. LOVE Amazon!

I cook my cornbread ahead to save on time. I store it in the fridge in sealed ziplock bags till turkey day. Have never heard of leaving it out to dry out before till on here? Same with my biscuits. I don't have the time or oven space to do all that bread cooking on Thanksgiving morning.

I make 2 pans of dressing. I cooked my cornbread last night. One large cast iron skillet, 1 small cast iron skillet, another pan that results in not as brown and crispy a crust about the size of a large iron skillet, and 4 muffins. 2 muffins and the small iron skillet cornbread were eaten while hot out of the oven but I think I will still be ok. Today I will cook 4 or 5 Mrs. B's frozen biscuits and chop about a cup of celery and a cup of yellow onion. Probably a little more celery and onion than I will need but don't want to have to stop and chop more tomorrow morning when I'm putting it a

No. I quit 13 years ago. I remember after the first lick she must have noticed the look on my face because the 2nd lick wasn't half as hard and my 2 friends got off easy too. Maybe if she had hit me as hard the second lick as the first I would have quit right then. I remember thinking, "Dang, she doesn't look like she's got that in her!"

There's a Toy Guide Magazine that I used to buy to check prices on Hotwheels cars. You might find it listed there. It's called Lee's Toy Review or something similar. I used to pick it up at Border's over in Austell. That's been a few years ago.

I had her in 8th grade too. School year was 1975/1976. She would not let you comb or brush your hair in class. I also had her during lunch period and along with 2 friends took 2 HARD licks from her for smoking in the bathroom on the way back to class from lunch one day. Man, she swung that paddle hard!! Hardest lick I EVER took in school was the 1st one she delivered. She darn near knocked me through the wall!! Edited to add: BTW, glad to hear she's ok!

WOW!! THANKS FOR THE GREAT IDEAS!!!

Mine NEVER thaws completely out in the fridge. It will always still be frozen on the inside. I usually start 3-4 days before I'm going to cook it. I put it in the sink in cold water for several hours at a time and refrigerate in between. Works great for me.

Yeah, it has never sat right with me either. I think because I remember when she died and I remember my mother always saying, "That was no accident. He killed her." Referring to RW. Every time I have seen him over all these years, I think to myself, "You got away with murder!" Maybe not. If he did do it, I hope it's time for justice to be served!! She was sooo pretty and talented.

I'm with KRM! I LUV Cap'n Crunch. It's my all time favorite since I was a kid. But I dont indulge in it much. I usually alternate buying Almond Honey Bunches Of Oats and Honey Nut Cheerios. Like them both.
