I don't need to know where to get one or which office has the best service. That's immaterial to me as I'm in Florida. What I DO need to know is what happens if you go to the office to get a replacement card. Do you leave with a replacement card or do they mail it to you? I have read everything I can find on their website and it does not say. It just says you can get a card by mail or by going to an office. I may be starting a new job and will need the card pretty soon. The aggravating thing is when we were packing to move I positively remember getting the card out of the desk draw

Venting on 2 Incidents of People asking for Help

Really? You believe a five year old when they asked for help paying the rent? -
That's right Pubby. I was speaking of the safety inspections. I think they went until sometime in the 1980s. I have vague recollections of taking my Camaro and my little girl to the inspection station in Powder Springs. They both passed.

I'm kind of sensitive about the issue of getting shot. My cousin was murdered (by being shot), a friend of mine was shot in the back as he was running away after being kidnapped during a robbery and a friend of mine was murdered by a criminal in the commission of a crime (by being shot). My friend's murdered was convicted but the conviction was thrown out on a technicality. My cousin left behind 3 kids between 9 and 18. My friend whose murdered was set free was 22. The friend who was shot in the back was 18. I understand the pain of losing someone to senseless crime. I also understand t

Some people, huh? And I'm not talking about the lady with the kids. -
You have the right to defend yourself. If you're getting your head bashed into the sidewalk (or even the ground) you have the right to defend yourself against that. Period. End of story.

A by-marriage relative of mine owned a liquor store in Smyrna. He shot and killed at least one would-be robber/killer. I think he shot and killed two. One shot and dang near killed him. I love to see people defend themselves and win.

Yeah, me too. I think we all must have radar or something, too. If you ever get down to the panhandle, send me a PM.

I understood it was supposed to be a humongous Walmart. That's been a few years though.

GD, I haven't been to Smyrna since last Halloween. And yes, it is just coincidence that I went on that day. I haven't been over around Belmont Hills in several years (I guess 2010 when I went to my aunts funerals). I was just thinking about the old Belmont Hills Shopping Center the other day. My mom would let me walk from Kroger (closest to what was then Cherokee Road) all the way up to the theater BY MYSELF! You sure couldn't do that the last time I went there.

True but you're a Pebblebrook "old Smyrna person". Or at least your brothers were. We Smyrnans have to stick together though. Me, you, Stradial, Subby. Oh gosh, flashbacks of one morning a few years ago at church when all the outcasts were sitting on one pew. That was a blast!

That makes two of us. I really was not happy about the fact that you have to register as either "Democrat", "Republican" or "No Party Affiliation" in Florida. While registering NPA would be wonderful, it also means you cannot vote in ANY primary and can only vote in the general and non-partisan elections.

No, I'm on FB too. And one for Navarre Beach, FL.

I gave her a positive to help out. Did you ask the mods to change your vote? I think they can do that (but I'm not sure).

When we had those in Georgia it was rumored that if you knew someone who had an inspection station that you could slip them twice the inspection fee and they would pass it even if you had no working headlights, brakes that wouldn't stop you in the length of a football field and bald tires. There was some truth to that, too.

This is the best post in the entire thread and it's not even about former member. You are dead on with that! You mean one of those other message boards where you hang out?

I might have something if they are OK with west Cobb, near Sun Valley Beach. 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 1/2 acre lot with back yard fenced, 50 x 50 concrete pad in back with 25 x 25 metal building. Sunroom on rear of house. 2 story. 2 car garage. Also, it's for sale or as a rental. PM me if you think they might be interested.

I don't know. I was using different computers and e-mail addresses. I think new members are validated and part of that validation process is to make sure they aren't already a member. At least that is how we did it on the support group I was a mod for. That wasn't part of what I did but that was part of our process. I was just there to keep the natives from getting too personal and to keep the spammers from overtaking the group. The mods on that group trusted that the people doing the membership part of it were doing their job in keeping trolls and spammers away and making sure eac

The ONLY way she could have had two accounts on here is if one of them was a business account. See Pcom rules, rule #5. I know for a fact this is something Pubby adheres to. Maybe I should say, I know from first hand experience this is a rule that Pubby adheres to. Dang him. Made me BUY a business membership. That could be any one of hundreds of people, including me. Only good snake is a dead snake.

Are you just now figuring out Stradial ain't right??? C'mon, get with the program. Hey, Stradial, you know I love you dude! Sometimes I think you're a male me.

Displaced kneecap? Kneecap doesn't track correctly.

A better choice would be Hispanics? Asians? Maybe some Native Americans?
-
Now you're trying to start a fight. You should know nobody on Pcom appreciates fact and honesty.

I do believe that is the most truthful thing I have EVER seen posted on Pcom. And that is the second most truthful thing I've ever seen posted on Pcom. Not in his mind.

I miss former member, too. I didn't realize she wasn't here though. I just thought she hadn't posted in the same thread. Since I went to Wills, we KNOW my judgment is suspect.
