  1. If you have a main shut off valve where the water line comes in to the house, turn it off. Check the meter needle outside. If it's still moving, then the leak is between your meter and your house- usually right at the foundation of the house. As the house settles with age, the connection at that spot will eventually break. Mine did about 6 years ago. Now, if you shut off the main valve and the needle is not moving, then the leak is somewhere in your house. Toilet tank flap valves are bad about leaking, but should not make as big a difference as you described. I'd say there's a 99% chance your
  2. Duh...I see it now. Thanks! Could you PM me more info about that?
  3. It is on here. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/287788-ford-f150-xl-pickup-truck-for-sale/
  4. Hmm....I'll take another look. I've been too busy to really look at it closely. We've been working until 12 or 1 a.m. every night, so I could have easily overlooked it. Thanks for the info!!
  5. It seems that craigslist is no longer offering a section to sell auto's.??? Any ideas? I tried to sell a Benz on Ebay once, but it was complicated and required money down to post the ad. I'm all ears at this point. Thanks! Glenn
  6. Indeed, I do....did not know that. I'll have to check that out!
  7. Oh, you know me. I was supposed to be on vacation, but I fixed her mower, mowed half the yard, then ran an electrical service out to her boat house...and built her a BBQ pit. I like doing things like that. I locked the fishing poles in place so the catfish couldn't get away, and just reeled them in during breaks.
  8. Done looked into that. The mod just needs to be approved first, but they seemed to have no problem with my design. Plus, Lake Sinclair is owned by GA Power, so there's two entities to deal with over there. GA power didn't seem to give a rat's butt as long as the engine was under 9.9 HP. The DNR said they "may" require registration, but after seeing the design, they saw it was a very small addition with multiple safeties to contain any spills or break any noise ordinances. It's got a modified shaft that is sealed so that no oil or grease can escape into the water....their main concern. In fact
  9. That's the one, only without the top cover (can't get no sun with that thing on there! ) Sure is a lot of fun though, and whether she knows it or not, I'm already drawing up the plans to make it a 2 speed. It could use a higher gear ratio for speedy action! I'm bringing a bunch of tools out to Sinclair in a week or two and get that puppy going great. Also have a design for outfitting a 2-stroke weed eater outfitted with an impeller in place of the traditional string head attachment. If she says "go for it", then we'll be in business!! I've got a muffler design that will make it virtually nois
  10. The paddle boat was AWESOME!!! It seats 4, so we had to back seats for the coolers. It's very easy to get around in...it won't win any races, but still very cool. I kept going all "nerd" on her talking about how I could use bearings instead of bushings and set up a higher speed ratio, etc. She said, "you aint touchin' my paddle boat, boy!"..."I like it just fine"! Very cool though- you should get one!!
  11. I also agree with it, but there's a caveat involved- government needs to change some laws for this to happen. As long as large corporations can still get free rides from exploiting third world countries who utilize slave labor, and appropriate tariffs are placed on imported goods, then we will remain stagnant. I absolutely LOVE working for myself, but in my former career as a civil engineer, I was treated very well and highly respected, as well as being paid large bonuses for going above and beyond the call of duty. During my 27 years in that field, I was fortunate enough to work for great
  12. And they never drain it!! It rises about a foot over night, then they lower it back down during the day. Some of the prettiest channel cats I ever saw, and crappy too. It was a blast. Y'all don't be surprised if I decide to move there within the next year! I noticed all the pretty yards, lawn mowers and ATV's everywhere, and only ONE shop in town... Also found an engineering firm that's hiring over there. Just something I'm tossing around in my head for now.
  13. I hope not!!! Thank you...I certainly know WHO I've got though! I feel SO good today, ready for a busy week!~!~
  14. I busted butt all last week to save enough money to stay with my GF at her place on Lake Sinclair. Left on Friday at 1:00, got there at 3:30, and WOW!!!! It was just what I needed!! She's got a nice little boat dock on her lot that's right close to the lake. I fished, and fished, and fished!!! Then, I built her a nifty little BBQ pit, and we burnt some steak the first night, pork tenderloin the second night, and fresh Talapia the final night. She's got this really cool paddle boat that we strolled the lake at night in, with that beautiful full moon as the perfect backdrop!! I was in Heaven
  15. If my kid ever told me they hated me, then I would give them a GOOD reason for saying that by whipping their butts. Luckily I never had to deal with that raising my kids. "Hate" is a word that is akin to "F-you" IMO. I won't tolerate it.
  16. Thank you! Your encouraging comment also plays a big part in what keeps me running. We all need each other, and I'm blessed to have you guys!!

  18. For some reason I felt compelled to type this thread....perhaps it will help someone. Lately I have been working harder than I ever have in my whole life, longer hours, and less pay. This is not a complaint anymore. I've had enough years of career loss to come to terms with the fact that my high dollar job will never come back again, at least in my lifetime. In stark contrast, however, I have MORE satisfaction in my life than I can possibly remember; simply from doing something I love to do and something that helps people out. Most people here know my story. Some call it a story of enduran
  19. All I can say is that I am ONE TIRED fool!!! But it all comes from 14-16 hour days. At least I feel good about it. To hell with the politics...let the lazy B's be what they wanna. Worrying about the ones on easy street only slows me down and chips away at my own determination. They'll all have to answer for what they did, or didn't do.....one day.
  20. Can't access your FB page.....??
  21. True that! And, I have to wonder...how many got laid off in the past 5 years?
  22. Oh crap!!! Sorry about that. That was my GF, Ann. We were first love teens about 31 years ago. How cool is that? I was so caught up in seeing old friends I just slap forgot.
  23. Think of an accordion.....similar, just dumbed down a bit, and smaller. BTW....so if I promise to take Twister fishing, think he'll come play over here one night???
  24. Looking forward to it, Coach! 678-315-8794 Glenn
  25. With all due respect....engineering is a white collar job that virtually no longer exists anymore. But hey...I enjoyed the past half hour playing with this. I'm loggin off to go back to my real world...bummer! Gonna go hear my friends play at The Cove in Dallas tonight. Oh YEAH!!
