Why the focus on Georgia? Fire everyone who ever had anything to do with a lobbyist!!!

Maybe you should have mentioned PAYING JOBS. My first job (with no pay) was my dad making me and my little brother clean out the grease traps from our home. A septic tank smells like ROSES in comparison. We all 3 (me, little brother and dad) puked at least 6-7 times that day on our runs to empty the 5 gallon barrels.) We did the job, and our yard stopped smelling like vomit. BTW, we all got paid $0.00 for this job. Nuff said.

Y'all know I'm a pcom old-timer. I read stat after stat, after stat....jobs are everywhere (for $2.00 an hour) and the BS goes on and on. This thread is for those who have to deal with the public, the honest hard working man or woman who has seen a massive decline in our economy. Let me start with saying I have a shop FULL of repaired equipment, and a host of clients who cannot afford to pay. Ergo, the equipment must be sold to make ends meet. While I do NOT even make a profit, just imagine what a standard shop would charge. I do not hold these people in contempt, as I know they are going

For me, it was possible for almost 27 years. Alas, I have found that even TIME has no boundaries. Expect the unexpected, although you were used to that many years. Make no mistake. It is, and always will be a crap shoot.

Just saying thanks for coming out and seeing you and your terrific better half the other night! Myself, and my band appreciated your support!

Great post. I'll never forget getting a job with an outsourced company from India, who were kind enough to open an office in Dallas, repairing underground and overhead phone line cable drawings for AT&T. It required a week's training in cable pair technology that was quite difficult. While everyone except me were former laid off employees from AT&T, (the only reason I got called in was because of my ACAD experience) the pay was the same for everyone ($13/Hr.). Come to find out, those former AT&T employees were making closer to 30/hr. for possessing this knowledge before outsourcing

Thank you! Glad to hear that. In fact another lady graciously gave me her riding mower to fix up and sell in the same S/D. Small world around here!

I've got several friends who live out there. It's a nice S/D and the people seem to be really nice too.

What would you be willing to give up to keep your marriage
subby1 replied to haralson_rebel's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Easy answer- TOO MUCH I had to give up to the point that I just received my 3rd divorce, final papers in the mail today. I'm dating a great woman who doesn't want me to change one single thing about myself. She's patient, fun as heck, and naturally loveable. I would have never thought I could be so lucky.....but it did take 47 years to find her again. (We were childhood sweethearts in church when we were only 14-15). She had to move, and we've both spent our years dealing with people's hang ups, so we're a perfect fit. She's actually crazier than I am. We almost never call each other during t -
Moccasins will go out of their way to avoid you, and only reside in water ways. Snakes are higher in numbers this year, but most are harmless and much like spiders are to insects, they kill off less tolerated vermin such as rats and disease carrying animals. Copperheads are probably the only ones to be careful with. They love to bed down in your flower pots and gardens. Yet, even those, like most all snakes will do all they can to avoid conflict with humans. They need their venom to kill their food. Mother nature is a miracle worker....you get a mild winter and the bugs don't die off....so

I guess I missed it, but you've always been a sweetheart to me! I know you're a very nice and thoughtful person, but I guess all of us have a bad day here and there.

My master mechanic has one. No dealership required. Just call Mac Tools. Done. You can also hand make a tester for the injector plug to check for an injector signal. The stethoscope is a great tool but only works well if you've had plenty of experience in using one.

ANYONE WITH TRUCK THAT WANTS TO MAKE EXTRA $$$
subby1 replied to sungoddess's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'm borrowing my dad's truck, and I doubt it would even make it that far. If there's anything else you need though, please do NOT hesitate to call me. I'll drop what I'm doing and be there for you. Anything at all.....I can go do your yard if you need it because I know you've been tied up, and anything else you need, I am here for you. God Bless, my friend. -
Here too....just 5 minutes prior, I've been hauling junk outside to the garbage cans...it's been still and quiet. It couldn't have been 3-5 minutes, then I walk back out and all hell has broken loose.

I've got one that's been doing well for about 20 or more years. And a second one that's close to 20 years old also. That said, I don't have insurance, nor the money to afford one that I could use now. But my dentist has been working on my for 26 years. I had one chip and dag near come all the way off. He know I'm poor as dirt, so he just built me one out of the epoxy stuff they use now days. It will last for about 1-2 years before it comes off. But for only $60-70, it's worth it to me. And he builds it to look just like a crown. He knows I understand it's a temp fix, but if I'm getting at leas

My girlfriend came on Friday afternoon from her home in Eatonton, GA on Lake Sinclair....kinda makes me think I should have gone to HER place on the lake instead!! I may just take the week off and go there for a few days. It's a HOT one out there!! In retrospect, I could have been laying o

Call me old fashioned but I HATE laptops!! I'll just stick to my super fast desktops with large monitors, real keyboards and my optical mouse. I bought a Toshiba top of the line about 2 years ago for almost a thousand bucks and I let my ex-wife have it....that's how much I hate laptops. I'm old and my eyes aint what they used to be, plus I can work on my desktops all day, do anything I want with ease to them, modify them, etc. BTW, that expensive laptop I let her have is pretty much toast now. I'm not mobile when it comes to computers. I only use my computers in my office at my leisure....and
