  1. Things took off quicker than I expected. Should be in full swing in ONE week, maybe less. I am STOKED!!!
  2. My boys with Simply Southern are already booked there!!!! Details will be posted later~~
  3. Screw all of them!! HARD WORK, honesty and integrity will get you a good job, although it will most likely be your own business if you are my age. Bad politicians cannot keep good hard working men and women down!!
  4. I guess I missed it. I had to be in Alpharetta this morning to play for a luncheon, then had to drive all over town...left again to do a rehearsal for the Michael Twitty gig tomorrow. Narry a check point I saw all day or all night. And YES, I am TIRED and heading to bed!!! Long day tomorrow!
  5. Yeah you can!!! Thanks to all of you for the business you've brought me over the past few years. I'd have never made it without you folks!!
  6. I have finally struck a deal that gives me a great location, and an immense chance at large scale expansion!! While i can't give you the exact address, let's just say it's right at the corner of Cleburne Pkway and Rosedale Road....right where the Bill Carruth Hwy extension will be coming through. I will post more details after licensing, permits, and other legalities are in place and business officially opens to the public. I am convinced my hard work has finally paid off, and I can offer great mower service to anyone in the area....the BEST SERVICE & QUALITY you'll not find anywhere e
  7. Total bummer!!! But you can always say you at least TRIED!!! Keep on keeping on.
  8. Yes they do. However, if you do your homework which includes staying on top of the latest things, keeping your quality under control, and first and foremost, find a service that has a rather high demand, then chances are you will do fine as long as you are FULLY committed.
  9. Well folks, business has slowed down a bit and I am looking at 2 different shops to run and operate full steam ahead. I hope to be set up within a month. Meanwhile, I'm still taking in smaller equipment for repairs so give me a call if you need fast service and top quality work. I'll let you folks know as soon as I get moved into my new shop, with the location, shop hours, etc. Just call me, Glenn, at 678-315-8794 or email me at glennsmowerrepair@comcast.net. Please include as much info as you can about your machine, and the model no. if possible. Thanks!!
  10. It's been many years since that time...it was a little before 9 a.m., first plane hit.....then when no. 2 hit, I broke into tears as if I could feel all those souls moving out of this world, along with the purpose of the whole thing- FEAR....how long would this go? How long would it last? To me, at that time, it was probably akin to older folks who sweated out the Cuban Missile Crisis. (Although that was just conjecture)....911 REALLY happened. On 911, that morning, hearing it as it unfolded, NONE of us knew what was up, how long it would last, etc. It did make me realize almost immediatel
  11. Thank you, and I would like to say the say thing!
  12. I have met more pcommers than I could ever begin to name, and I've enjoyed every single one of them! Whether it be at any number of local clubs I play in to a BUNCH of mower customers....all GOOD folks!
  13. I'm not sure about the 15 minutes. But unlike the majority here, when I get a knock on the door, I am always polite, tell them I was raised Pentecostal, played in church most all my life since age 13, and am firmly grounded in my faith. They offer me literature and I take it. Off they go, and that's pretty much that.
  14. Same here on the foreclosed houses in my hood. Most are being bought up by younger married couples with kids and fortunately were pretty well off to begin, even if by only saving their money. The price they buy the houses for gives them plenty of extra to put more money into the home and everything looks better. It's a buyer's market out there, but if you never quite got a good savings going, then you're out of luck for the most part.
  15. This is a blatant answer to the fact that almost no one is better off than we once were. Common sense dictates this based on what you said.
  16. Me too, but I say MAIN when people ask me "huh"? Yep, it's a death trap!!

  18. Crap! I just realized I missed the party!! I fell ill on Saturday but I'm better now. Sorry.....dang!!
  19. Just out of curiosity, who went to Fitzhugh Lee Grammar School?? This was a small town called Oakdale, that is now deemed Smyrna. Anyone?
  20. My Saab is a 94, but uses a complex "trionic" firing system to adjust for valve knocking. In doing so, one grade over another will not create valve rattle, but the mileage difference is amazingly easy to spot, as well as HP.
  21. Not true. Gasoline can be different at different locations. Mileage can most certainly be affected, most of all. The largest problem is with ethanol and how long the gas is stored in the tanks at the stations. The faster it moves out, the better the quality. You could google this all day, OR you could actually check your mileage as you buy from different locations- which is proof in the pudding, so to speak. Octane ratings are heavily affected by the addition of ethanol, so when you look at the pump, notice "may contain" up to 10%...could be less, or could be right on 10. It depends on where
  22. Wow! A LOT of Campbell from Smyrna people are here!
  23. I love Eddie!!! He and I played together in Jasper at the Blue Rodeo Cafe about 15 yrs's ago. SO MUCH FUN!!!
