  1. I met my mother (who is a retired pastor) and we rode together to see Rainy (my GF) at Grady today. She was doing very well, and completely mentally competent, and can move everything except one leg, even though she can move her foot and toes on that leg. We laughed and loved, and had a great time. Mom led her in the sinner's prayer and it was a wonderful day. Keeo the prayers coming, folks because they are working wonders!
  2. Update on what's for sale tomorrow- push mowers, riding mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, edgers, and more. Better make it fast though because several people came in today and are bringing trailers to load up equipment on. This stuff is going FAST!! Don't miss out on a good deal, folks!
  3. Just a reminder, folks. We are rebuilding more equipment today for the sale tomorrow. Come on by and see what we've got. Thanks.
  4. Folks, we are having a full blown sale on outdoor power equipment. We've got basic mowers as low as $60 and as high as $300, gas blowers, weed eaters, and maybe an edger or two. In fact, I just sold a Poulan gas trimmer, straight shaft to a friend today for only $75. This was a $200 trimmer if purchased brand new, and I can tell you there wasn't a single thing that made this one any less than brand new. New fuel lines, primer bulb, carburetor, new string, etc. This guy jumped all over it, since he knew he just saved himself $125!! Come on down Saturday afternoon, and check out the great de
  5. Nice, rebuilt Homelite weed eater. Very lightweight and easy to use with plenty of power. Fully rebuilt carburetor, new primer bulb and fuel lines and filter. $65 cash only, please. Glenn 678-315-8794
  6. I'm thinking so too...at least maybe in the winter months!! I clean very wery well!!
  7. I had my whole evening planned out- done cleaned out one bay in my garage to park my car in, and was going to build a smaller shop in the other bay. So, I walk upstairs, see a couple of things out of place, then next thing I know, I'm dusting, waxing, scrubbing toilets, floors, walls, doors, etc. etc. I just now pulled myself downstairs over 2 hours later!!! The house is immaculate (it wasn't dirty to begin with, but I got anal about scrubbing things down that most people don't think about). Now, I am finally down here, and running out of time to fix up my shop bay!!! Looks like another long n
  8. That's why I am letting people know to key in 1612 Rosedale Dr. That's not the correct address, but it shows the exact location on mapquest. Wish I had known that before having 1,000 bizz cards made! Poulans are not top of the line saws, but the carbs pretty simple to fix if you know what you're doing, in fact they are easier to rebuild whereas higher end saws use non-serviceable carbs, requiring new ones. Buck for buck, I know a lot of guys who use saws on a limited basis (fence guys and what-not) and all they'll use are the cheaper Poulan, Craftsman (they're all the same saw with differe
  9. If you're in the market for a nice weed eater, mower, or other equipment, please come by the shop. Low prices, and haggling is allowed! Let's make a deal and save you some money! 1612 Rosedale Drive (entrance is first left past stop sign on Cleburne Parkway. We'll be open until around 6:00 p.m. today. If I'm not there, then my mechanic, Daniel, will be glad to show you around. (I'm stuck here at home for another hour or two doing paperwork). Yuck!!! Glenn 678-315-8794
  10. I talk to myself constantly. After spending almost 6 years working from home, it's become insane! However, I have talked to myself ever since I can remember. I ask myself questions wehn I'm trying to figure something out and debate with myself until a solution is found. When it comes to building things and repairing things, people think my cheese slid off the cracker, UNTIL I finally finish what I'm doing or repairing. After they see my accomplishment, they shut up. The only other time I say something to myself is when I am driving and so many idiots are on the road around me. (nice blin
  11. Very nice Snapper riding mower for sale. I just used it yesterday on the front yard and I would really like to keep it but I can't afford to. Runs GREAT, electric start with new battery, 12 HP Briggs engine that runs like a top. Cuts nice and even, tight steering, and very good condition bushings in the front steering sector. Tire have not leaked air since I've had it, and that's been at least 3 months. I need to sell this asap, otherwise I would be asking $600 for it. I will take $425 cash to the first one who calls. 678-315-8794. Glenn 341 Ridge Run Drive Hiram, GA 30141 Mower
  12. Good afternoon everyone. Just wanted yall to know that we have some used and rebuilt equipment for sale at great prices...blowers, trimmers, and mowers. Stop by and save money!! Glenn 678-315-8794 I am located on Cleburne Pkway and Rosedale, right where East Hiram is coming through. First drive on the left after going thru the stop sign coming from RaceTrac on Hhw 278.
  13. I need the money way too bad, so I am am offerring this mower to the first person who has $400 cash in hand. Last year I sold much worse condition mowers like this and got $700. So, I think you get the idea. This offer stands until this weekend, then I will keep the mower for myself because I LOVE it!!! I'll figure out another way to get some money. Glenn 678-315-8794
  14. I moved here from Cobb myself. When I drive by my old neighborhod and see Hispanic graffitti everywhere I applaud my decision!! Rednecks???? I guess everyone has their own definition of that.....an ambiguous word. Some of my best friends are black....yet everyone thinks I'm a redneck, and I probably am. My black friends kid me about it, in fact. There's more than one kind of redneck. BTW, my black friends moved out here to Paulding for the same reasons as me...they love their kids and fled the gangland that used to be our homes.
  15. Unincorporated Paulding- 8 a.m. till 10 p.m. all the noise you wanna make is legal. Trust me.....I learned the hard way! That's in reference to when I was testing chainsaw after 10 p.m. I can still play music all hours of the night because my studio is noise proof.
  16. It's kind of funny you mentioned that, because although I lost a lot of developers, I still see most of them still. They use me for mower repairs, and many of them got into the firewood business, since the money ran out and they had large plots of potential subdivisions that went belly up. Like me, they turned lemons into lemonade by splitting up the wood and selling it for firewood. There'e so many ways to skin a cat. Of course, in doing this, they need their small tractors working to haul the wood and those log splitters working, so in a way, it brought a lot of us back together. These devel
  17. Very rarely. I had tried the modile thing, but it costs more money than I thought it would. I do pick up and deliver though. I will do some house calls depending on the nature of the repair. What you got? Wanna give me a call?
  18. Give me a call!!! I have made several long term customers in just 3 weeks. When they get their bill, they just grin ear to ear, because I still do all I can to save my people money. Best of all, these new customers are taking bizz cards by the 10's and sending more people my way. It's such a simple concept- do all you can to keep costs down, perform above average on repairs and you simply can't lose! When these guys tell me how much they've been being charged by their former mech's my jaw just drops!! You do people right, and it will come back to you in more ways than just getting paid. My cus
  19. You git em, boy!!! You are one of the lucky ones. My pay comes in cycles, some weeks suck, and others are great. When I average it in though, I'm making less than half what I used to. I'm not complaining though, because I'm on the off season now. With a CHERRY spot in town, I should be eventually making at least twice what I used to make. It's not important to me though as long as I can pay my bills. I have dreamed of having my own repair shop since I was a kid. Not a day goes by that I can't wait to get in the car or truck and drive to my own place, doing something I love that also keeps me i
  20. Thank you for clarifying my point. A long commute is fine if the money is high enough to make it work. Working for less, but closer to home is usually the best alternative, especially since no one is paying what they used to.
  21. No, it doesn't, but it also requires some math knowledge in how much the commute costs. I was offered a nice job a while back that paid just enough for my gas there and back, and left me with $40 for the week. Common sense is imperative....and that's just gas, not including wear and tear on a car. You'd fair better with a min. wage job close to home than a 40K/yr job that costs a small fortune in gas and TIME to get there if it's a haul. TIME...I mphasize that, because a lot of people don't realize the value of time....time IS money. People in my bracket- (over qualified, and just the
  22. There are a lot of good homes you can buy for almost nothing, but beware....a lot of these home were once occupied by people who got laid off and lost everything. Many of those people filed bankruptcy and literally TRASH?ED these places. In many cases you're still only getting what you're paying for...i.e. a home that waa once worth 120K, you buy for only 60K, then find out it needs another 60K put into it to make it liveable. Just keep your eyes peeled and do your homework if you're in the house flipping market.
  23. Vinings is an ambiguous word now....I designed a LOT of housing in what is actually Mableton, yet went under the name of Vinings Estates.....what a scam that is to out of towners! That's like a good 15-20 miles from what is actually Vinings. Just another marketing ploy.
  24. I'm sorry, I made a typo- the actually RENT is 250, not 300. So, after all is said and done you're loking at closer to $500/mo including everything, and I have the best of the best in washer, dryer, dish washer, etc. All top quality stuff and very pleasant living conditions. Note- 500 is a worst case scenerio. The actual average is closer to 400/mo. Not bad at all, especially after you see the place.
  25. Although I am fine living alone, it would not only help me during my off-season but possibly help aomeone else who doesn't have much money but needs a temporary place to stay. I am seeking a room mate for a limited time (from now until sometime in early next spring). I am trying to talk my aunt into staying, and she has LOVED being here all weekend, but she still has things at home to tend to, plus she's staying in my daughter's room until tomorrow when she goes back home. Tenant must have good references, totally honest, no criminal background and NO DRUGS!!! (beer and legal alcohol is ok
