  2. I probably shouldn't post this, but when has that ever stopped me?? Playing in church all my life, there were times it seemed like a Soap Opera. I have seen sex (adultery) many times. One time that sticks with me is when I told the preacher that I also played in night clubs and if he had a problem with that, then at least I was honest. He did have a problem with that, told me to pack up and get gone. Two weeks later he got nailed for doing the no-no with another woman at the church who was not his wife...OOOPS~!~! I even had to live long enough to see the man who led me to God when I was
  3. yeah, yeah....wuteva, wuteva! yeah, yeah....wuteva, wuteva! Actually, the clock is just fine. Don't say broken!!
  4. No one is.....it's just a knee-jerk reaction to posts in the past that has reaped him a whirlwind of fury....and sometimes he expects that. Just sayin'. Hey, he keeps the board active when it's slow, often talks to himself (as do I) and stirs up some independent thinking.
  5. While I still haven't figured out why my bill is too high (not having been here and everything turned off all day) I did find what happened on the bogus billing account. My mom paid my bill one time about a year ago over the phone. It was her bank and account number that wound up on my online account. (They are still baffled as to why, since she could not access my online account...an error on their part). But at least I know who's account got money taken out of it and I can settle up with mom asap. Wheew!!! Yall be careful and watch those online payments! The customer service lady was ve
  6. I kinda gave up on the idea. I think my aunt and uncle are moving in with me next week. I told her, if it wasn't family then I don't think I could do it. I'd get a second job if I had to. That's just been my own experience. If the owner and the room mate to be were both young, I guess it would be easier to manage. My life it too complicated and I'm way too strict on cleanliness and honesty that I chose not to bother with it, unless it was a family member. Good luck on your quest though!
  7. Thanks! I would like to say we're outa the woods now, but on such matters you never know. You just trust, hope and pray.
  8. yep, and you don't have the luxury of time to make them. I wanted to be a teacher for a long time. Unfortunately, (in retrospect) I turned down a position (way back when) of teaching drafting and design at Chattahoochee Vo-Tech in favor of a more lucrative profession on the development side of things. But I don't think I could EVER imagine teaching younger, less emotionally developed children. I think it takes a special kind of person with unfathomable compassion and understanding to handle that.
  9. I don't believe it to be a work of fiction either. But since it was comprised by the dead sea scrolls, I find it "incomplete" as only certain scrolls were allowed to be entered into the final book by the Church of Rome....lest they lose the power over the people. The Book of Enoch, being one of those, not to mention no one was even allowed to posses a Bible back those days (prior to the thesis of Martin Luther...the original one, that is). Like the Bible we all have today says, in the last days, truths will be unveiled that were shrouded in mystery for all of those years. This Book of Eno
  10. Well spoken for an old fart!! You know I'm just kidding about the latter comment. Well put, though. Insightful and very true. My GF mentioned something about me DYING my beard (goat-tee). I told her it would be stupid to color what I HAVE EARNED!!! I wear my gray proudly. Try raising two teen girls. You WILL turn gray!
  11. In addition to my initial post, I forgot the actual point...I am GLAD that the popo are sitting there, and I hope more people become aware of it. I am sick and tired of butt's bearing own on my rear when I slow down through that part of the road. Keep up the good work fellers in blue (or gray/tan) . IMO, they are saving lives.
  12. Thank you. I see sungoddess lurking on here. She has her own story of miracles happening to her son......don't ya, sweetie?
  13. The sight distance from one side of B.C. to the other at that intersection is not only appalling, but I have no idea how it even got approved!! You are literally blind to left hand turners in both directions. As an engineer who has worked with the DOT over my life-long career, I am totally baffled as to why this intersection was not graded down (or raised on the south end) for sight distance. Even if it were not, then THAT'S exactly what those left turn ONLY lights are for. (The kind where you cannot make a left turn unless you have the green arrow). I guess most of all, is that I have NEVER s
  14. First, let me say thanks to all of you, and God whom through all things are possible. You folks have been a huge support to me over the past month, and I don't have the words to express my thanks as adequately as I would like to. I went to see her around lunchtime today. She is still at Grady, but has been moved to a less intensive room. Her terrific mind seems to be 100%, just as it was last Sunday when my mom and me went to see her together. The only thing that was not working was one leg, although her toes and foot could move. Well, today my aunt and myself went to see her again. When

  16. And at Campbell where I went, in Smyrna, we had a smoke hole too. Those REALLY WERE the days! Not that I'm condoning smoking, but true freedom actually existing back then. (Class O' 83). Of course, we didn't have "bully" laws so you had to stand your own ground by yourself at the bus stop (which was over a half mile away from the house) when the bigger bullies would taunt you.
  17. I feel your pain. My main work computer had some sort of malware that I just could not wipe out. I think it came from my slave drive. Anyhoo, I wiped the whole slate clean and have been loading all day. Just now getting about done, then I have a ton of programs to reload. It sucks! But hey, at least my comp is kicking some major butt now.
  18. Sorta flies in the face of what makes a Snapper so valuable- its simplicity and service-friendly design. I can only imagine the servo's and other intricacies that go into something like that. Don't get me wrong...it's really COOL, but it would cost a fortune to repair one!
  19. A variety of foods (cashews and some other nuts, for example) can intensify the size of the stones. BTW, we ALL have them, inherently, it's just the size and mass that makes it a problem. How we expel such creations and proteins are a factor that lies within some folks getting them and some not.
  20. It really is. I know something is amiss when I have to do repairs (also being independent and perhaps the least expensive around) on a "lay-away plan". Pay half now, and the other half a week from now upon pick up, after waiting on that next pay check. However, me of all people I know can certainly relate to that premise. I try to help any way I can, and that is one of those ways.
  21. I truly hope you'd be right. As a father with only 50% success with my own, and seeing it still as rampant as it was when I was young, it still seems like pie in the sky to me. When I look at today's youth and see little to no change, I firmly believe that nicotine is a Pandora's Box we opened when we came to this country to settle it. The Native Americans won that war, IMO. We took out a lot of them with our dirty deeds of giving them ill-born diseased blankets, but in the end, I think they actually won the battle, as it continues to this day. Nothing hurts me much more than seeing our
