  1. I think the lack of confidence comes from the fact that our president is at best a super salesman who, after one year of conflicting and often absurd pitches, tweets and insults, has been revealed to be a liar of monumental proportions.

Those of you who forgive his serial lies on anything from the trivial to the substantive - there was no reason to threaten even jokingly that his nuke button is larger than Kim Jong Un's - don't get it - liars don't generate confidence.

That you've bought into the lies, either as a matter of faith or faith in his artful use of deception, adds to the lowered confidence of people not just around the world or your neighbors. This is particularly disturbing as most conservatives were so adamant that character counts.

Whether it is the nights with the porn star hooker he paid hush money or his self-aggrandizing lies on the size of his inaugural crowd or his embracing of neo nazis in rhetoric any notion this man has character is laughable.

It is a Gallup poll and as such the information you seek is available through the link provided. The guardian was not the only newspaper reporting the poll, it was just the luck of the draw that I chose its report.

The idea that America's leadership role in the world which was assumed before I was born and continued from WWII through, well Trump, earning us monikers from Imperialists to the Ugly American, including, I might add the engineering the crash of the Union of Soviet Socialists Republics, can only be described as loony left in the warped mind of a trump supporter.

PS: You might be surprised that I only mentioned the predecessor of Russia and that in relation to the fall of the soviet empire.

You know you might be surprised if start searching things for things on Obama. I think you could find enough things to get you busy,

But, Oh wait you won't believe any of them, so what does that say about you.

  2.

You say some of those things that have happened are good. I'll admit none of them - say the TPP - were ideal but the idea that the alternative is better is what I object to.

I know you know that every decision that trump makes is based solely on his gut based on at most, some dumbass opinion expressed on Fox and Friends. There is no analysis, there is no understanding, there is no understanding. He is incapable. And the thing that gets me is that if he screws up a few of these, we'll be in a world of hurt for decades if not forever.

It is kind of like your crazy uncle who never drove a car visiting at thanksgiving and insisting on taking the fastest car of the lot, loading up all the kids and driving like a bat out of hell on a dangerous mountain road. The adults look at the rooster tail of dust along the edge of the canyon and pray as they mumble, Thank God he's not killed the kids .... yet.

You're flat wrong. We want to excel and have a great country. We just don't think you get there by drilling for Oil 200 yards off the emerald coast in Florida after eliminating all the rules and regulations requiring you don't do stupid things (Like BP did in the Gulf in 2009). It is kind of like the analogy above where the fastest car in the lot is a super-charged Hummer that will go 130 miles per hour and you decide to load the vehicle up with all the kids and drive it on a curvy gravel canyon road as you try to hit the top speed.

The point is this man is the antithesis of conservatism. He's pedal to the medal without the first moment of study or consideration and without a lick of sense or prudence. some of the kids in the back are crawling under the seat or strapping themselves in and putting on helmets knowing this crazy SOB is going to wreck us all ... and then some of the kids are so thrilled by the obviously sensational speed, the g-forces that put a carnival ride to shame and are screaming and giggling right along with the idiot; or is it trucking moron driving the bus.

We don't hate the guy, we just know that the Hummer we own is going to be broken and there's a good chance blood will be spilled by the time we get this dumb SOB out of the drivers seat.

If we're lucky, the hummer will bust an axle and we'll slide into the wall of the canyon. If we aren't, we'll fly off the road and drop like a rock, crash and burn. The chances the totally novice crazy old man driving this vehicle will make it through eight years without a something very bad happening is nil.

We don't hate him, we want to excel and succeed as a nation. We just don't think he or his cohorts in congress are capable of doing the job and are hoping to stave off disaster.

There will be plenty of time for hate after the smoke clears and we bury the dead, help the injured and recover the ship of state if it is recoverable at all.

HECK PUBBY, MAYBE WE NEED A TELL ALL BOOK FROM YOU???

  3. What you clearly don't realize is that every time you respond like this, you demonstrate just how strong your programming is. Your puppet masters have you seeing only extremes, that anyone who doesn't smooch the donkey's butthole like you do is at the opposite extreme and must be a Trump worshiper.

In reality, a lot of us are just reasonable and intelligent people who think things though for ourselves. Your type, on the other hand, constantly spew anger and hate because you allow the donkey god to keep you pumped up with rage. The almighty donkey is keeping you too occupied with fake or exaggerated Trump hate so you won't see that the economy is catching fire, that new home construction is finally surging, that home values are way up, that tax revenues are way up because people are working and paying taxes again. You didn't know about all that, did you? Been too busy whining about all the mean things Trump said or tweeted.

Perhaps most telling, is that you're so busy with this exaggerated and out-of-context boo hoo about what Trump supposedly said, that you aren't paying attention that the Hillary Uranium scandal that I warned of right here on P'Com a couple of months prior to the election is now coming down. Your queen did indeed sell our country out and got millions in return, and Obama and the DNC tried to cover it up.So yeah, that is the rotten and traitorous party that you have surrendered your mind to. And you wonder why we're laughing at you. Such a weak mind!!

BTW...to the person who liked Cain's response; that doesn't speak well for you either. I hate to see you pulled down into the sewer with the actual idiots.

Well said, there are other people that need to take heed to this, then their life might not be so miserable.

  4. Well some of you are so hell bent in not believing any thing but what you want to hear, Maybe in about a week you can contact the widow and just see what she says.. No some of you would not want to believe what she has to say. If you are grown men and women you need to

get over some of this hate you have in your hearts. Do you think we liked Obama, no but we did not carry on like this. Sometimes it is what it is.

  5.

The transcript of the speech said she said "aren't" going to raise taxes on the middle class, not 'are" ... If you listen closely, you can also hear the n't but admittedly it is subdued. Her public stance is that she will not increase income taxes on the middle class and snopes and everyone says that at worst it is a case of garbled words.

However, if you listen to those republicans who paint the picture that Hillary is the greatest liar the world has ever known, you'd realize that it had to be aren't because Hillary is too good a liar to make a mistake like that.

Of course it could be that she is not that good a liar and what she said was what was exactly as it was in the script on the teleprompter and that if elected she isn't going to raise taxes on the middle class.

Having seen a few of her 'lawyerly' answers that skirt the truth, I actually think it is last reading that is true ... i.e. she is just not that good at lying despite the republican propaganda to the contrary. Her lackluster ability to lie convincingly is one of the reasons she is not a great politician.
