  1. Hi I did a google on this, but nothing came up. I believe this rose bears a person's first and last name - "Gary" something maybe. This is something out of my dim memory, so I can't be clearer, sorry. Just know it's a person's name. Thanks CR
  2. After retiring, I lost touch with a lot of friends and co-workers and one of these is a lady who always liked a certain hand lotion which is only available in Germany. Having recently returned from there on a short vacation (Uncle's passing - really), I brought back some of this stuff and would like to send it to her. My problem is - I do not want to invade anyone's privacy, so I am reluctant to post her full name here. However her first and middle names are Mary Louise and she worked with me at Paulding Hospital back when it was on Memorial Drive. She would be retired now as well and
  3. and at least one person whose mouth is still hanging open. Just trying to help with a little proof. This is supposed to be an "F", isn't it?
  4. This is pure conjecture by a conspiracy theorist. It's sickening. How many of these migrants were and are being turned away by other countries, especially France?
  5. Well, was he the one who commanded at Pickert's Mill? If so, did they finally get that highway split a little more?

  10. An international website I am a member of will get an "I'm in trouble" posted message several times a year. We take them all seriously and don't worry that we're being trolled, especially if we know it's a member. Even if it isn't, and is someone just seeking attention, the fact that we have long-time mods and admins around the clock means they step in and engage the poster in a conversation. It's been our experience that someone trolling won't stay for long and will have a very low post number, but still, since "we never close", no one gets ignored. I realize this probably isn't the answ
  11. ....... your help is needed. Please click here , read and contact your congressperson and let them know we need their continued financial support - not cuts. Thanks CR
  12. And way to go Moonlight Motion Pictures! I think that deserves a Mayberry, if y'all don't mind me saying so! CR
  13. Speaking of crossing a double yellow: It is also illegal to do so at an upcoming turn lane before the lane you're in broadens and allows it. I did that many times and finally one day got a warning from one of our Dallas police officers. He was nice about it, but I had to take a little quiz first: 1. "What does a double yellow line mean?" Answer: "Do not pass?" 2. "That's correct, but even more basic than that, what does it mean?" Answer: "Ummmmmmmmmm" 3. "Do not cross, unless going around an obstruction or being directed to do so by someone who's dressed like me,
  14. Okay. That asnwers my question, thanks. Carry on and it would be great if the officer who stops her and has his video running would allow it to be posted here. CR
  15. I'd like to see her stopped too and I don't mean to rain on anyone's parade, but just asking a question: can this person counter the ticket with an "entrapment" charge? CR
  16. Dude, I think you need to learn how to read, dude. The Cosby show was an example dude. Here's some help for you, dude. So when a person states his reasons for a certain point of view, what you do, dude, is start with the insults? How old are you, dude, because what you wrote is something I'd expect from a 13 year old. Dude. CR
  17. Oh, was I YELLING? I didn't realize it. And just because I saw racial elements doesn't mean I "pulled the card". I'm just thinking about what would happen if one of your young'uns hit an elderly black gentleman in the belly in real life (and yes, I know the commercial isn't "real life", but the people whom it offended and caused DTV to eventually remove it, did compare it to real life, otherwise nothing would have happened), and remember "Ebonics" and the congressman who wanted to make it a "language"? We overcame that and I'm damn glad we did, because all Ebonics ultimately did was point
  18. I've been looking for a press release from Direct TV regarding this, but haven't been able to find anything.
  19. Every time. That's what commercials do in order to sell the product. CR
  20. Thanks, November Rain, for posting the video. Totally slipped my mind! CR
  21. Black people everywhere should have objected, and then kicked the collective asses of the sellouts who made a buck off a stereotype that should have been buried decades ago. Any of you wonder (if you checked out the link I provided) as was mentioned, what would have happened in real life, had your kid kicked an elderly black man? Would you have just smiled as that boxer did? CR
  22. So, if you've seen it, do you agree with the racism charge? I do and I'm glad it was taken off. http://direct-tv.pissedconsumer.com/turth-truth-direct-tv-commercial-20110707247406.html Reason: The ebonics and the kid socking the butler. CR
