  1. Arrived at 5:00am got home at 8:00pm. All the people on the set were really nice. Got to meet Robert Duval, Bill Murray, and Gerald McRainey. I saw Sissy Spacek up close at the end of the day, she looked tired and didn't really seem interested in being there.

The wardrobe lady, Julie or Julia? she was like the soup Nazi from Seinfeld. I tried to take her picture with Robert Duval and she pointed her finger in my face and said "No pictures, I do not have my picture taken" Yikes! she scared me. She could part the red sea with her presence!

Bill Murray was very cordial and funny, he kept everyone entertained while we waited for the next shot.

The hardest part was standing in line in the cold at 5:00a and not knowing how long you would have to wait. By the time we got to the "tent" it was 10:00a. The people I met standing in line were so positive, no one complained. Hey, we chose to be there so why not make it fun. I met a woman named Danita from West Cobb, thanks Danita, you are one fun person to hang out with.

Got to head off to work, thankfully only for 8 hours !

Oh, I'm so glad you all had fun!! I kept seeing the shuttles going back and forth yesterday. I was excited for everyone! I would have liked to go, but I don't think I could chase my 2 year old at Pickett's Mill haha

  2. As for the scores...I know a bunch of paulding restraunts and been into their kitchens personally. I think the scores are BS I know clean places getting bad scores for stupid non food related stuff And dirty Franchises getting Great scores!

Paulding needs to look hard at their process cuz its misleading to honest customers that have more important things to do than research a bad process... I used to be ignorant to how political the scoring process is until a place i know is clean got a U and a place i saw infested with flies got a B! I wish Paulding had a fir reliable process...They owe it to their citizens!

I'll get off my soap box but it is a sensitive nerve for multiple local business owners that i know are clean health conscious proprietors that are getting unwarranted bad publicity by a system that is broken... Don't believe everything u read on an "official" piece of paper

    But that's just my opinion

    I hear ya!

  3. Not that I'm cheap...but funds are low and feeding a family can be tough when you are on a budget. I do cook.. but i don't always have time and the kids don;t deserve to be tortured. I know many places around are doing a Kid's eat free night.

I know Tonight VITO'S CAFE has FREE KIDS MEALS so my WED are set but what about the rest of the week?

Hey don't forget to check out the scores at these places before you go!! :)

  4. Doesn't that Sapporo place have like free kids meal with every adult entree or something? And La Bamba at Cedarcrest Centre has free kids dinners on Monday nights. That's what I just read in the little flyer thing that came in the mail today!

  5. You know it is different driving in the snow down here, but IMO it's mostly because they don't salt the roads. And not like they need to. This only happens once a year. It's easier just to stay in and watch movies :D I remember growing up in Ohio and seeing the salt trucks out all night before the snow came. I just can't wait for SPRING!!!!

  6. Plain white rice... I've been in the bed ALL day with some horrible virus. Dr said it's not the flu, but it sure feels like it! Nothing even sounds good to eat, but I knew I needed to get something in my belly. So, white rice it was... Maybe I will move up to some soup tomorrow...

Sounds like what my husband had all last week. I have known him for almost 10 years and this is the first time I have seen him Down with something! Took him to the dr., not the flu! But all the symptoms of. I hope the rice helps :)

  7. Sorry one more thing. I like what TeaTime said. We all should be more helpful to one another. Especially the MOMS!! We know exactly how it feels to have a child freak out in the store or cause a commotion or spill something. It can add to an already stressful day. I liked your answer TeaTime!! Good Girl! :)

  8. They are just like us, aren't they? They have bad days just like we do. Sometimes I would like to smack some of the adults in the stores who are rude to the employees, etc. But I think they call that assault or something?? :p

  9. You may try Noahs Ark. Not sure if the Animals will be out, you could check their website .... http://www.noahs-ark.org/

It is in Locust Grove but worth the drive. It is also free, but they need donations greatly! We normally give 20.00 - 50.00 a trip to help feed the animals, but it isn't required.

I have always thought that place was such a wonderful idea, but we haven't been yet. Good idea :)

  10. We went today for a early dinner and for the second time in 3 weeks of visiting this place, we were seated and never had anyone ever come greet us! We sat there for 20 minutes then got up and let the manager know why we were leaving.

I went in about 3 weeks ago late at night and the waitress that night was just as slow with only 3 tables in the whole place. She even got very rude when we ask for drink refills and for the remainder of the orders that she did not bring out the first time.

What is up? Anyone else having a problem with service?

You know we didn't go back ther for several years. When my husband and I were dating I ordered the T-Bone steak and eggs on more than 1 occasion and it tasted FREEZER-BURNT YUCK! That was probably 6 or 7 years ago. Went several times in the past year and enjoyed the food, the service isn't usually anything to write home about IMO.

  11. Update on yesterday. Everything went Great ! Love my cut and the highlights are good. A little lighter than I wanted but can't be perfect. The girls there are really nice and sweet and help each other out. If one doesnt know how to do something someelse steps in . I had one girl do my hightlights and one do my cut , while others watched. I was really nervous about the whole school thing but it all worked out.

Wish I would've seen this yesterday, but sounds like everything turned our great. I love going there. And like you said everyone helps each other. If you go in for just a cut it usually takes quite awhile because they use the newer girls for that :) I had all over color, then highlights a cut and style and I had long hair at the time. Cost me 79 bucks! sorry, can't beat that, even if it took a little longer

  12. We have stayed in Seagrove Beach every year since 1999. My favorite place. It's grown a bit in the past few years but the thought of it keeps me sane during the year. We use www.garrettrealty.com.

Thanks, I'll check there as well. And garrettrealty.com. I'm so excited I can't hardly stand it. I truely want a relaxing beach vacation without all of the hype. My boys are 5 and 2 and they get tired and we just want to be close to our place. They don't need frills, just a football on the beach and some sea shells :)

  13. Seagrove Beach and Grayton Beach are nice as well. I normally use VRBO.com to find just the right spot. A lot of those beaches are a lot more quiet than the Destin or PC area but some of them can be quite pricey (Seaside, Watercolor, etc.) But don't worry too much about the exact location. It doesn't take that long to go from one end to the other on 98.

Thanks, that helps. A couple rentals I've saved are through VRBO. So it's a pretty short distance between all of the beaches, huh? It's a little tough to tell on the map I'm looking at.

  14. We have FINALLY decided on a vacation spot, haven't been on one in three years. We want either a condo or townhouse ON THE BEACH. My question to you fine people is this....is there a beach that is just too pretty not to see? I'm looking at rentals at Blue Mountain Beach, Seacrest Beach and Rosemary Beach. I need a better idea of the area before deciding though. Advice Please?

    Thanks, Stacey :D

  15. My POPO son and fellow officers has had a busy day on duty, Family fights, shooting, stand off, car wrecks

Please say a prayer for all involved..I know that this happens most days in the county, but with it being Thanksgiving it just make me sad !!! (His thanksgiving plate is in the microwave)

I just did (say a prayer for your son) :) Question: I'm fairly new on here, what's the POPO something something police officer, thinking, help....

  16. I'm in East Paulding not far from the dragstrip and have been hearing tons of sirens for about 15 or 20 minutes now. Just wondered if anyone knew what was going on.

We were heading towards e paulding from due west. couldn't get through to our neighborhood (garner farm). looks like the accident was right before the lake house like someone else said. prayers.

  17. When Hopelessly-Paranoid made the comment about painting a car...it made me remember my sister's old car - It was named Lurch - because it lurched into gear.

My kids laughed at the tiny Ford Fiesta saying it looked like a clown car so I named it Bobo.

I call my PT Cruiser the Disco Cruiser. Good names for cars seem to just happen.

Does your car have a pet name?

I have an Odyssey that I proudly call the Mystery Machine, hence my screen name.

Had a Grand Am I called Jackie, you know Jackie Chan, cause that car might not have been my dream car but she was a badass! Just sold it last year with 211,000 miles on it ( '93 model) and the guy is STILL driving it back and forth to Atlanta everyday.

    Fun Topic :)

  18. I want to say congratulations to Larry Ragsdale on the election. I know that with David Austin and Tommy Graham joining the BOC, Paulding will continue to be successful. I wish Mr. Ragsdale and the BOC the best.

    Thank you.

    Kudos to you!
