I agree. West Ridge west Campus at Poole Elementary!

Martin's but you have to fight the crowds. Steak and Shake is fast food, but they have a decent breakfast.

Mrs. Winners and KFC in Dallas are scary. I won't eat at either. When does Bojangles in Hiram open? I agree with previous posters, if the Dallas franchise is how the whole thing is run, they would go under in a booming economy.

I didn't know we were talking about Cam Newton. Nevermind, they'll pay him to play. Then, he'll get millions from a pro team only to be involved in some bigger shady deal and that team will be shocked at his behavior and that poor team will be out millions of dollars because their star can't play due to legal troubles. That NFL team could never have predicted what would happen if they gave millions to an immature kid who already has problems.

I would opt for the scan. I do have a problem with some groups being exempt. No one has suggested a body cavity search. If I flew often, I would be concerned about the radiation from the scan, and if I opted for a search, then I would want a woman to do the pat-down. Still, no one has come up with an alternative to improved security. So, what else should they do? -
Park his butt back home, get a job, and make him pay his own way. If he chooses to stay where he is, cut off the money supply. If he comes back home, provide a roof over his head, basic food and he pays the rest with the job he's going to get. Don't let him use the economy as an excuse, fast food is hiring if he can't get the job he wants. Set a time period with him, that if he does what he's supposed to do (write it down so everyone's clear), he can go back, if that school will take him. Should be at least 1 semester, maybe more. If he holds it together, and straightens up until ne

Terrorism/dangers on a flight is a bigger risk than pedophile screeners in my opinion. If you have this as a concern, maybe reconsider flying with children. More protection against the growing threat of terrorism is not a bad thing. If not this type of screening, then what do you suggest is an acceptable alternative? -
I have surge protectors and so do my neighbors for most things. Their son moved his Wii for the first time since last Christmas. Until last night it was on a surge protector and bam, gone.
-
We just had a power surge. I can't find anything damaged, yet. It fried a neighbor's Wii. They also had wires fried in a water heater earlier in the week. Two of my neighbors who are home most of the day say this is starting to happen a lot. Is there any work going on in the First Baptist Church area that could cause these surges? Anyone else in Dallas, near the old town part, having a problem?

I prefer to feel safe on my flight. People are doing crazy things and its going to get worse. No, this won't stop everything, but if it makes a flight safer, OK. I know upfront what the screening is like, and I would not want to be surprised by this. I can choose to fly and go through this or not fly. I don't think any religion should or group should be exempt. If a few groups are exempt, then the security is meaningless. Children will not be terrorized if they are prepared in advance by their parents. Tell them what's going to happen. We all get groped, poked, prodded, and reveal -
I don't think it is a lowering of standards. It is getting rid of expensive, time consuming, EXTREMELY FLAWED tests. Have you experienced giving one of these tests? If you have, and you saw how much turmoil for NO GAIN, you would be on board for getting rid of them. Ask any teacher their feeling on CRCT and HSGT. I believe there should be minimum standards for graduation, and there should be a measure of basic skills, but these tests are not good.

I usually only go once or twice a year. I've probably gone years in the past without going in a Starbuck's and I'm a coffee drinker. That stuff is just way overpriced. -
Interesting. I may be the one who makes the dr's appt. My thyroid has been checked twice in the last 15 years and it is in the lower normal range. When I googled Hashimoto's I looked at a few different websites and I have EVERY symptom except one or two. Hmmm

I guess there are two versions of Southern tradition, but I've never heard of putting cream of chicken soup in dressing. The recipe my grandmother used that was passed down to her did not have it. Paula Deen's is MOSTLY cornbread, not white bread. My grandmother's also used biscuits instead of white bread, but I usually have the bread on hand instead of biscuits so I use it. Its not enough that I can taste a difference.

Never mind....I get it now...a little slow tonight

I know you were using his words. I wasn't "fussing." Most people equate special ed with a very small group of students that have noticeable disabilities. There are MANY special ed. students in the school that you would never know are special ed. I have a fomer special ed. student with Aspberger's who is one of our county's ROTC programs and may go into the military soon. I have several former special ed students with learning diabilities who are starters on some of our county's high school football teams, play in the band, are in advanced classes in high school. Some will end up in coll

I know you are using the words of a kid, but Special Ed. is not one particular group. Some of our Special Ed. kids are some of the most intelligent students in the school. That is a wide category with many types and levels of disability. It depends on the type of disability and/or extent of disability whether or not they could serve in the military. I have no idea if there is a minimum height requirement for the military, but I know that many little people have limited mobility or physical problems that would prevent them from being eligible.

Its not that unusual. My Dad pulls his eybrows. I pull the hair behind my ears, where it is thickest so its not noticeable and I also search for the course, curlier hairs. I do it unconciously when I'm driving or watching t.v. and am under unusual stress. Its sort of like nail biting. I've worked with kids who have pulled large bald spots and had sores, bloody patches from pulling.

Check with your doctor. About 10 years ago, I had a minor cold and my sense of smell didn't come back even when my other symptoms cleared. My taste was not affected as much. The doctor said it is not that common, but it can be permanently affected. Mine has NEVER returned to normal. I do have a sense of smell but not much. I like my food a little more heavily flavored than most (hot, sour, etc). It is a blessing because I teach middle school and I'm spared of smelling a lot of B.O. I do tell my friends to tell me if I stink, because I can't tell.

If you like traditional southern cornbread dressing and giblet gravy, Paula Deen's recipes are the best, in my opinion. It is exactly the same as my southern grandmother's http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/southern-cornbread-stuffing-recipe/index.html For a short-cut, Ingles in Dallas, NOT ON NEBO, makes good cornbread to use in the dressing. Don't get the stuff at the Nebo location because it is sweet. I also buy a jar of chicken or turkey gravy in case mine does not turn out. It can be dressed up with pan juices in a pinch.

It could just mean more testing. I had a similar experience recently. After scheduling my appt for a couple of weeks out, someone else called to move my appointment within a couple o days. I had a follow-up test which led to more tests. Had to have a sonogram. It is a benign cyst and I need to be re-checked in 6 mos as a precaution. A lot of stress and worrying for nothing.

: Maybe I have an unusual hip to butt to waist ratio or something, but I've never had a pair that will stay up, big or small.

Should I request that my doctor wear a suit before he/she examines me? Are they a lower quality doctor because they are wearing scrubs and birks? A clean T shirt and comfy jeans is different than being dirty and in tatters. If I can dress comfortably, I will. I will be clean and not in tatters, but comfy, when given the choice. My favorite church outfit is my CLEAN T with my church's ministry name and a Bible verse, my clean, non-saggy, non expensive brand name jeans, and my nice flip flops with the sparkles or cute design on them (not my craggy beach ones that do smell a little if you

It indicates that our culture has become more casual and dress has changed. George Washington would be shocked that men don't even OWN a powdered wig!!! Shock!!!
