How many miles of interstate does Atlanta have? I-20 I-85 I-75 285 That's a lot to cover. Atlanta is a transportation hub due to interstates, does it have more Interstate to clear than many other large cities?

I live less than a mile from the Dallas PO, but no mail. I don't want anyone risking their lives to bring a bunch of advertisements and bills.

The DOT people have been on the news telling people its not safe and to stay off of the roads. You knew it was coming; maybe next time stay in a motel near work or camp out at the office if you absolutely HAVE to get there.

So it gets this bad once or twice every decade, maybe more---maybe less. If you have a problem with the way GA handles the icy road situation, move up north where they deal with it all of the time. I don't mean this ugly, its a fact. Snow/ice in GA is a big deal because it doesn't happen a lot. The roads stay messy until it warms up because we don't have the equipment to clear them. People raid the stores before-hand. Driving is a nightmare. It is the way it is. I once lived where they didn't freak out in the snow, and everyone continued with life as usual. I like this much better.

Anyone know if Lucky's or Little Bear is open? I'm out of chips and am within walking distance.

Great idea.

I have many links to practice sites on my school website. Quia is also a good one for games on almost any subject. I'm not sending out worksheets, sorry

Oh my gosh! Can you imagine if they had a milk recall right now????

What a sweet sheltie face with snow on its nose

I feel bad for the poor guy, and he even managed to keep his cool even though he had just watched his car be engulfed in fire...on live TV. In fairness, he didn't know it was on fire when he backed up into the gas station.

I don't think I've ever had a pierogi.

My lab mix finally went for more than a quick "take care of business" sniffed everywhere and explored. My aussie mix, not made for cold weather, is still going out quickly and right back in.

I have a dog door and mine whined a little last night at first, but finally started going out without me. They haven't been out but a couple of times since it got deep. Right now they don't like it much, but we'll go out and play later and they'll like it, then.

In Dallas, near downtown. Was asleep but my dog woke me up.

Just looked outside and there is no more snow coming down, lots and lots of sleet.

I went out at 7:00 for a short food run and there fewer cars on the road than I have seen in a LOOOOONNG time. I got home before anything started, but seems like most people are home safe. There are always some who don't have a choice and have to be out in it, and there will always be idiots.

You may be better off walking if its that close. -
Teachers would easily qualify, even with two incomes. After doing a quick search for middle class income, I discovered that there a lot of disagreement as to what it is, and it varies by area. (Middle class Manhattan would be rich almost any other place in U.S.) One stat said that the middle 60% of Americans made between $25,000 and $100,000, with $52,000 being the median household income.

Just as a discussion with you is impossible. The left accuses the right and the right accuses the left. -
You could use the pole/hairdryer/extension cord method to blow snow and ice off the roof ridge

I would imagine that they count in a small area and multiply that amount by total area covered to come up with a rough estimate. Just a guess.

We live near the hospital in Dallas. Even in the blizzard, we only lost power for a short time. Location makes a huge difference. Most days I would rather live in the middle of nowhere, but times like this is the exception.

Someone may have already responded to this, but they said be prepared for one of three POSSIBLE scenarios 1.schools delayed 3 hours 2. no school 3. early release

Benny Hinn is a fraud... no arugument there. Why do you say Jerry Falwell and Rick Warren? You may not agree with them or like them, but just by being the leader of a mega-church does not make them a con man. I know what they preach and profess has caused controversy but I have never known either to be accused of bilking church members for money for personal profit.
