Several cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, etc., have banned plastic bags. I can see this happening in Atlanta, Savannah, Johns Creek, Dunwoody, Peachtree City, Milton, etc. ---- ATLANTA (AP) The Georgia House has rejected a bill preventing cities from banning plastic bags. The Houses 67-85 vote on Friday makes the bills future uncertain. The Senate approved an earlier version. Here's rest of the story: Georgia House says cities can ban plastic bags

7-Year-Old Threatened With Suspension For Military Haircut

Found this comment on Facebook: Source: SouthernStandard.com - Facebook So there! The supposedly stepbrother of the boy is based at Ft. Stewart in South Georgia. -
I doubt the haircut itself was the reason why he was threatened a suspension. Boy's 'military haircut' spurs suspension, outcry A young boy's high and tight haircut meant to honor his soldier-stepbrother earned him the threat of suspension from an elementary school named for a Medal of Honor recipient, and the fallout from the incident has led a Tennessee school district to increase security measures. How about this one? This one was recently taken place in Poland - the driver was transporting the calf back from the veterinary. This reminds me where my mother and grandmother went to get two kid (baby) goats, they rode in back of the car. They were well-behaved and had no accidents in the car!

WTF... People wonder why other countries are laughing at the US! --- Indiana Governor Mike Pence is expected to sign into law a religious freedom bill that some say could lead to discrimination against gay and lesbian couples, the Indianapolis Star reported. The purpose of the bill is to forbid the state from forcing people to provide services that violate their religious beliefs. Similar laws recently have been floated in other US states, as gay marriage increasingly has been legalised across the country. Here's full story: Indiana to pass law that could allow discrimination

A 1,000 meter-wide asteroid is heading towards Earth this week – and its course will reach its closest point to our planet on Friday, according to NASA. Traveling at a speed exceeding 37,000 kph, the 2014-YB35 asteroid is set to approach Earth from a distance of 4,473,807 km – some 11.7 times further away than the moon – according to NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. But should the asteroid's orbit be closer, the impact of collision could be devastating – and trigger earthquakes and tsunamis, as well as climate changes. For an asteroid of its size, it would not be difficult to beat the Tungu
