  1. Would be nice if the doctors/officials at the de Kalb Medical Center could say something. I guess they won't due to the HIPAA law. ------------ Here's what was published on TMZ.com. CISSY HOUSTON BOBBI KRISTINA'S BRAIN DAMAGE ... 'IRREVERSIBLE' Remains Unresponsive Bobbi Kristina is suffering from irreversible global brain damage and is completely unresponsive ... so says her grandmother Cissy Houston. Cissy tells TMZ, "Meeting with the doctors and understanding that she can live in this condition for a lifetime truly saddens me." She squarely contradicts Bobby Brow
  2. The Houston family says that the Browns were wrong and that she (Krissy) is still unresponsive on life support. I believe she is still at the de Kalb Medical Center in Decatur. Here is the story: TMZ.com Edit- sorry, I forgot to include the link.
  3. So there must be more of them living in Paulding? Maybe police departments should not overspend for extra patrol cars they don't really need.
  4. I remember when the city of Atlanta had to stop employees (including police officers) from driving city-owned vehicles home overnight. I don't remember why they did. One of their officers (whom I knew) lived in Cartersville and would drive it home daily until the ban.
  5. Just noticed a Smyrna PD car passing by. I thought it was a Polk County PD car until I saw on the door. The officer looked like he had just gotten off from work. Does the city of Smyrna or taxpayers know that officers drive the cars home even if they don't reside there? This is not the first time I have seen in Paulding.
  6. That area code is in northern Virginia (suburbs of Washington, DC.) The US government in DC is known to have phone numbers with couple of area codes from Virginia and Maryland even they are not in these states. I wouldn't be surprised if the local field offices in Atlanta have area codes from there. AT&T/BellSouth does that all the times. I think it has something to do with the PBX systems.
  7. There are now 120 confirmed HIV cases and 10 preliminary positive cases tied to Scott County, about 30 miles north of Louisville, Kentucky. Here's rest of the story: Indiana HIV epidemic linked to rampant prescription drug use gets worse as number of cases reaches 130 ------ This is so scary -- my family and I usually stopped in the Scottburg (Scott county) area to eat, petrol, etc., before going to the Indianapolis area and northern Indiana to see relatives. The area always looked rather rough (you know, redneck). My then girl knew many people in that area, she grew up not far fro
  8. Calhoun (Anniston) and Cherokee (Centre) counties in Alabama were possibly hit -- Calhoun is considered part of the Atlanta metro area. Cherokee is just outside of Rome (GA). Strong Storms Produce Significant Damage In Leesburg
  9. Looks like there are many who share her opinion of Advanced Towing Co., of Arlington, VA. Reviews on Yelp.com
  10. More than 800 pages of records released by the California Department of Public Health have revealed horrific crimes, including deadly physical abuse and neglect, rape, and brutal beatings, inside five mental health institutions. Here's the documents. Here's the RawStory article: Murder, rape and abuse: Report reveals horrifying life inside California mental health facilities
  11. Just saw the post on the PSCO Facebook site. Glad he was found safe.
  12. Don't think it would fly in Vegas. I think they would have been a hit if they had it in some places like Nashville, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Myrtle Beach, Daytona Beach or Pensacola/Panama City.
  13. I hope he is OK and safe and return home soon.
  14. Wow I had to look up and, yes there was - Animal shelter closes after dogs become extremely ill
  15. A canine flu outbreak has sickened many dogs in the Midwest, and veterinarians are cautioning pet owners to keep their dogs from going nose-to-nose with other four-legged friends. The University of Wisconsin-Madisons School of Veterinary Medicine says the virus has sickened at least 1,000 dogs in Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana. Recent tests from the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory have identified the strain as H3N2. Clinical assistant professor Keith Poulsen says its not yet known how effective current vaccines are against this strain, which is believed to have come from
  16. Could be that the county got tired of getting calls all the times?
  17. Google Launches Handwriting Input For Text And Emoji On Android Google Handwriting Input - Google Play I saw about this yesterday, but didn't try it out until an hour ago. I really liked it, just need to get used with it. It took me several tries to log in on Paulding.com using handwriting input. You can switch between using handwriting and keyboard anytime.
  18. Do they allow you to watch your papers/documents getting shredded when you are there?
  19. Just saw this: 6 things to know now that medical marijuana is legal in Georgia
  20. Gov. Nathan Deal signed legislation Thursday that legalizes medical marijuana in Georgia, though tremendous hurdles remain for patients who want to get the drug. House Bill 1, which took effect immediately, makes it legal for people who suffer from cancer, sickle cell disease and other illnesses to possess up to 20 ounces of cannabis oil if a physician signs off. The state estimates hundreds of thousands of residents could be eligible for the drug, and at least 17 Georgia families have had to temporarily move to places like Colorado where the cannabis oil is legal. The biggest obstac
  21. Former Peachtree City Police Chief William McCollom has been indicted in connection with the New Years Day shooting that left his former wife paralyzed. A Fayette County grand jury decided Wednesday to indict McCollom on a reckless conduct charge, Channel 2 Action News reported. Reckless conduct, a misdemeanor, was pursued in lieu of more serious criminal charges. McCollom has told police that he went to bed at about 9:30 p.m. on New Years Eve after consuming alcohol and sleeping medication. During the night, he said, he was awakened by barking dogs, got out of bed, took his service
