  1. From where I came from, cole-slaw hotdogs are very popular. I think I will head over to Brandi's World Famous Hot Dogs in Marietta for some cole-slaw hotdogs soon.
  2. I use to stop at the location in Dallas to get chicken and salads. The chicken were always overcooked and the salads tasted as if they washed them in the loo washing basin. Same way with other locations in the area. Their sauces are pretty good. You can make your own sauces, if you google for the recipes.
  3. Last time I was at the Cedartown location, I had to wait for about 50 minutes. I will need to get my driving licence renewed. Maybe I will go to Calhoun.
  4. I know. My apologies. I will have one of the moderators to delete my posts.
  5. They must have decided to add Carrollton to the list after they made the big announcement about a week ago. Sears is closing store in Mount Berry (Rome) so I guess the Kmart Superstore there will still be open?
  6. A listeria outbreak linked to Dole packaged salads has hospitalized 12 people in six states in the past six months, including a Michigan resident who died of the illness, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Friday. In addition to Michigan, patients were from Indiana, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Massachusetts. Tests from the Ohio Department of Agriculture found listeria bacteria in a package of Dole field greens produced at a processing facility in Springfield, Ohio. The bacteria was genetically related to the listeria found in people who became sick, accordi
  7. Camden has a rather large military naval presence, so that makes sense for the spaceport to be there. What does Paulding have? Not much other than being a bedroom community/suburb of Atlanta/Marietta-Cobb.
  8. FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) - A forklift operator who recently won a nearly half-million dollar Georgia lottery jackpot was killed overnight Thursday during a home invasion robbery, investigators confirmed. Officials said 20-year-old Craigory Burch, Jr. died from gunshot wounds at a home on Stubbs Avenue. Burch had won a $434,272 Fantasy 5 jackpot in November 2015. Once on scene, GBI agents spent the overnight hours collecting evidence from the home. Here's rest of the story: Recent lottery winner killed in home invasion

  10. I am glad we are not expecting anything other than maybe some flurries. I am concerned about my 95-year-old grandmother, she lives in one these states mentioned above. She is recovering from sepsis.
  11. The next stage of medical marijuana debate: Civil disobedience
  12. Hope I am wrong, but I seriously doubt we would see much in this part of Georgia. Maybe this week-end? Tonight I was going to shop at Kroger but decided I should wait until the morning.
  13. The more nicer restaurants will come if the county will just try to attract more white collar companies here. No the county is so busy trying so hard to attract cheap airlines like Allegiant Air that fly mostly old, old planes.
  14. I think it is the same one that was discussed on PCom earlier last year. The one at 1948 Hiram Douglasville Hwy.
  15. I cannot even remember seeing guns on the school property other than the little air guns that the staff use to start for swimming races and some sports. I suppose guns were banned. The pupils and teachers were not allowed to discuss about God/religions.
  16. OK, maybe I should have said, some children. TVs were becoming more popular around that time, but some people preferred to listen to the radios.
  17. My mother has said that some of the boys in her class would bring their guns to school with them, usually for hunting after school. This was in the South (not Georgia) in the 1950's. Children growing up in the 1950's did not have access to televisions or even had something like Facebook, Twitter, etc, etc. They usually go to the theatres to watch mostly Western-type movies.
  18. Ya, don't forget local politicians like the Austin brothers, Richardson, etc, etc.
  19. WhatsApp founder Jan Koum announced Monday that the company is dropping the services annual subscription fee in an effort to remove the barriers some users faced in using the service. It really doesnt work that well, Koum said Monday, speaking at the DLD conference in Munich. He noted that while a buck a year might not sound like much, access to credit cards is not ubiquitous. We just dont want people to think at some point their communication to the world will be cut off. Here is the full article: Facebooks WhatsApp Is Now Free
  20. The victim was from Emerson in Bartow, but he was found in Acworth (likely on the Cobb side).
  21. Could be this one? Man found dying on I-75 was victim of home invasion
  22. My second cousin has just told me to expect some snow in my area in a few days. He is a meteorologist.
