This week i got rid of my land line and switched to a Straight Talk phone and account. Since "hearing" is not wonderful for me on a cell phone, I thought I would get a blue tooth to embellish my hearing capabilities. What would u recommend or NOT recommend? Thank you.

Couldn't find the bluing today at publix; but I noticed that someone had invaded the borax and washing soda from the shelf; funny if it was a result of this post. I am amazed that so many use it! Thanks to all for all the tips and advice. ;

I make my own because of cost. It is super cheap. I am going to try the bluing first; oxy clean next. As I said earlier, I use lemon extract as a scent. My clothes do have a HUGE delicious odor; but, I use dryer sheets for odor - from the dollar store. LOL. The cost of this stuff just blows my mind. I am having a hard time copying my recipe; use google, there are several there. Mine calles for Fels Naptha, borax, and Washing Soda (found it at Publix, u might have t ask (Arm and Hammes, hard to spot). And buy a funnel. Good luck

I LOVE using my homemade laundry detergent. But, I do notice that my whites are not as bright? Any ideas from personal experience? I read that white vinegar might help, but not sure vinegar is a whitener. Thanks in advance. BTW, anyone who makes their own, I added lemon extract rather than a floral scent and love it

Good for you Subby! You've discovered so many of the meaningful things about this holiday. I, too am alone tonight but I love the peace and quiet and know that tomorrow grandkids, their parents, their visiting uncle and even the dog will come and turn that peace into craziness. But I'll love it and we will sit down an share a meal. Since I just retired and am now on a "fixed" income, my gift giving was cut drastically;; and I do mean drastically. But I found out it doesn't take long to shop with limited funds and it take almost no time to wrap. See; there is beauty in every little thing.

Wow! Memories: The year dad, an alcoholic, drug home a tree late on Christmas Eve and propped it on the side of the house; and there it stayed. Because of that I MUST have a tree every year though all kids are grown. LOL. And other Christmases when we had a tree; but Dad was drunk and made me put the lights on and kept yelling at me because I didn't do it right. AHA! As an adult, I HATED putting lights on a tree; now I have a Pre-lit tree LOL! This has happened to me 3 times over the past 5 years. The credit card companies will give you NO information because once they reimburse your money, they consider it their problem and not yours. The first time it happened I identified it to be a restaurant in fulton county because it was the only place i used the card in months. It sucks that u can't find.

I don't open my door to anyone I am not expecting. Except; I am a sucker for kids. My mom used to ask me how I had the nerve not to answer the door. She said, they know we're home. I said; yep, but I own the home and I don't have to open my door.

I had so much fun. My 11 yr old granddaughter was with me and she stuffed Mr. Turkey all by herself. I taught her how to look for the neck and bag of gizzards and how to clean the bird. She was like "ewwwww" but said she can't wait to help me again next year. I count my blessings with that child!!
