  1. yeah, i thought the same thing. It's a little over the top.
  2. My middle (step) sister was a little more than a handful in her teens. She would leave and not come back for days on end, drive my dad's car without license or permission when our parents weren't home, sneak off with her boyfriend, got caught drinking several times, etc. finally her mom said enough and did the same thing (of course it's a little different when you are talking about a teen vs. a 5 year old)...... it didn't work though.
  3. WSBTV By looking at the picture, The deputy wasn't yelling, she looked to be having a calm conversation with the boy. I don't know if I think this is so bad or not. ETS: Maybe they could have done without the handcuffs though. I know just a police officer talking to my child would influence him.
  4. I have a huge problem with cheer outfits now days. What ever happened to the pleated skirts and maybe only seeing an inch or less of their belly? I was ok with that, but now...how come the cheerleaders can walk around wearing not too much more than a bikini but the other students get in trouble for their shorts length, or the width of their tank top straps? I'm so thrilled my teenage sister isn't cheering anymore. I used to take her to cheer and gymnastic practices and listed to the parents of young girls sporting cheer shorts rolled up so their cheeks were hanging out and just a sportsbra wi

    teens

teenagers are scary now a days. I remember sneaking behind my parents backs for a few things, but the things they do now adays...sheesh! My youngest sister just turned 14 Sunday. Her mom's not in the picture as much because she is dealing with some stuff, but We try to let her know, kids your age are going to be doing this that and the other. But you are not other kids, you are you. think before you act. We will never stop loving you because you make bad decisions, but know there are consequences for your actions. She's already done more than I have at her age (smoking and drinking) and ha
  6. This day and time, with cameras at just about every corner, dye packs, and tracking devices....How stupid are you to rob a bank?????? I mean, is the money in a tellers drawer really worth it? usually banks and cu's have a rule in place that a teller needs to keep their drawer under 5k.......people are willing to do time over less than 5k.
  7. What a great idea. My family and I will be there.
  8. It's not just Paulding. Hubby and I have been subpoenaed 4 or 5 times for a case in Carroll County. This last date given turned out to be jury selection day and we didn't even need to be there, So I'm not sure why the lawyers office tells us we don't need to be there, but the subpoena says we do. none the less, they pushed the date back.....again. this has been going on for over a year.
  9. Thank you for posting the arrangements!
  10. You can't bring your own food if you are going for just regular play, but their concession stand prices really aren't bad and they have a lot to choose from. You can always eat before you go though.
  11. it's good to hear Justin and Jeff are out and Josh is expected to get out aswell. I will keep an eye out for your updates. The last my dad heard, they were waiting to see if the boys would be able to attend before they made any plans. Prayers lifted.
  12. You're right, That was my youngest brother Dillan, and his girlfriend Gina. Too many car accidents around here, and the lost mountain intersection in particular is a death trap, it needs to be redone some how. I have 4 family members and a good friend that worked with Penny at some point, and they are all upset about this. I didn't know Penny personally, but family says she was a wonderful woman. Prayers for all involved.
  13. My almost 5 year old over reacts to everything(what shirt I pick out for him, what color cup i give him, etc). We were going to a behavioral theropist for a while and He taught him some exercises to calm down (deep breath, think of happy place, etc) and he does none of it. I have gotten to the point where I have to say "when you are ready to calm down, I will help you." and walk away. And when he's finished, I will point out in a positive way how much easier it is just to ask for help instead of crying and yelling. I also had to start getting up earlier, because if he does have a tantrum in th
  14. not saying it is or isn't true, but I am saying I have 2 boys, and my butt got big with both of them. I will also say that with my second son we did all of the old tricks to tell you what the gender is, like 10 of them, even the myan calander...they ALL said i was having a girl. I was shocked when I went to my sonogram and found out it was a boy!
  15. OH NO! How awful. Prayers are lifted up.
  16. I know 2 people who have had these procedures. I couldn't imagine feeling/dealing with what they did growing up. Like NC said, Support & Accept. I couldn't word it any better.
  17. oh yes, the captions really do it in. I love it I haven't heard of failbook but I have heard of failblog.org, that is some funny stuff!
  18. That's my sister! She always does an amazing job
  19. How come every time I see this website, I see a man in a dress? Everytime I look at this site I manage to laugh, gag, gasp, shake my head, bury my face, and cringe in the same sitting. lol. People of Walmart Slideshow
  20. oh no. My dad lives in Twelve oaks. I better call and tell him to lock up, he's the worst about leaving things unlocked
  21. Is that all she said? I didn't see the clip and can't watch it on this computer. I wouldn't take that as her saying "Erin Deserved it." I would think she was just pointing out how the outfits on DWTS are scantily clad. They are in the dance world as a whole, nothing wrong with the current dressing fashions for dancing, it's just a fact that they typically don't cover much. If the above was the only comment she made, I think maybe it was meant as something else and misunderstood.
  22. I have a cousin in a wheel chair who has a bumper sticker that says something to the tune of "Back off or I'll flick a buger on your windshield"
