  1. uh....$80?.....per person? thanks for the suggestion though WN. We discussed that one. One of my friends that's going to eat with us isn't a fan of that place. But I'll keep that one on my list for next time.
  2. Link to the Slideshow Vintage Advertisments.....Where a womans place is in the kitchen, Smoking is healthy and cool, companies could make up their own scientific facts about their products, and most of the ads had nothing to do with the product. Some of these are really funny, and some of these are really disturbing... My favorite is the Pitney Bowes add that says "Is it always illegal to kill a woman?"...........what does that have to do with anything? lol
  3. yep, that's the one! isn't that awesome? If I knew him, I'd want him around me at all times. lol
  4. Vinings, Midtown, Buckhead...really anywhere in those areas or inbetween.
  5. Hubby and I are going out to dinner with friends of ours in a couple weeks. Since we all work in the atlanta area, we're just going to meet right after work. We're still trying to decide where to go. Suggestions? I would idealy like to keep the bill for hubby and I under $50. TIA!!
  6. OOOhhh! I didn't realize. My mom goes to a pain managment clinic ( ) and they used to give her Oxyconton. Watching her go through withdrawal from that was TERRIBLE. That stuff should be taken off the market.
  7. oh no. that is so terrible. her poor friends and family.
  8. I don't know much about drug nick names......Is Meth also referred to as "Hillbilly Heroin?"
  9. really? how much did you decide to go with for your hourly rate?
  10. Meth is no joke. Hubby's cousin and wife are both addicted to it. They lost their three children to the wife's parent's, lost their home and everything. The cousin called looking for my husband and we got to talking about his life. He told me about his addiction and missing his kids, and losing everything, and being ashamed that he had to move back down to GA and live with his sister.....etc. So I asked him "Do you miss your kids enough, are you ashamed enough to sober up?" And you can just hear it in his voice, the thought of not having his meth was more hurtful to him right now than not
  11. WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!!! gah!
  12. There is something really wrong with both of his parents. We didn't find out until I was pregnant with my second son (during the process of his brother being removed from them) that His mother and 3 out of 5 of her sisters were mentally retarded (that's how the DFCS lady worded it, but no one in that family is willing to discuss family medical history with either of us ) and neither His dad or his mother can read. At one of the hearings apparently they showed up wearing the same clothes anyone has ever seen them in (a tattered dress and a old t-shirt, torn jeans, and boots with no shoe string
  13. It really is. My husband was taken away from his parents when he was 6 weeks old (severe neglect and his dad would do things to him in attempt to make him stop crying, like pinch the inside of his thighs) He was raised by his Grandfathers girl friend (grandfather passed when he was about 5). After my hubby, his monster, I mean mother stayed pregnant...she had three more children, all within a year of each other. They were all eventually taken away from them too. Hubby didn't hear from his parents until once when he was 15 (tried to get his birth cert so he could get his learners permit, but
  14. WSBTV.com Really? 2 and 3 years and they get fed hot meals and have hot showers, and tv, and an infirmary.......it's stuff like this that makes me wish we had more "eye for an eye" rulings. I'd like to see them sentenced to a shack with no food or water, no Dr or dentist, nothing for as long as those kids had been in theirs.
  15. well that's a bunch of hogwash! $0.19 and they can't refund a fee as a courtesy? geez. Would they not do anything about it talking to you? maybe your mom or dad needed to call? Did you talk to a manager? I would be so livid.
  16. I've seen that happen before. Personally, I think if it's expired, you shouldn't be held accountable for it, but every financial institution has their own rules. (gotta make that money honey)
  17. physical checks older than six months are void, but if you are stop paying an ACH (an auto draft from your account number instead of your debit card) there is no experation date.... typically Stop payments are only good for 6 months anyway almost anywhere, I have never heard of one that was longer than that anyway.
  18. NEITHER!!! open a checking account at your current credit union. It doesn't matter what time of day you depost cash at a credit union, it's available immediately. Not waiting til the next business day because you deposited $30 at 2:15 in the afternoon. I can't tell you how many people I hear complain about BOA.
  19. my oldest little brother used to have hair that was in his face and constantly did the head swing to get it out of is face (I mean like every 30 seconds)....for years he did this. He finally cut his hair to where it was no longer in his face but the head swing was such a habbit, he still did it anyway. It cracked me up.
  20. Oh, I knew. I was just agreeing and adding to why I support the law.
  21. I believe I read somewhere that the illegal immigration in Arizona was costing the state Billions....I'll have to look it up again to be sure though. If that's true, how can you blame them for enforcing this law?
  22. Yahoo News That's great, take up the time of the officers who could be out serving the community by responding to thefts, domestic abuse, etc.
  23. Thanks! hijack---- I gotta ask, does your signature line have anything to do with your job? what do you do?
  24. For those of you who are lost the said trolling is in the Political Discussion Forum.... speaking of which, how do I turn it off?
