Was there a Hail Storm in the Area Last Spring?
rockster replied to EagleWings's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yep. And the last few months all you hear in my hood is roofing nails installing new roofs -
Must be in shade

Yep, just fine. Only some icy patchy areas in the shade

Third post in almost 5 years. Get a life. Go buy a pallet of salt & sand. Put on the big girl panties and deal with it. -
Well the good news is, I broke up all the ice

OMG, that was classic!!!! Nothing like gazing at the shooting stars, and shazam, take a roll down the hill!! LMAO -
Sardines placed one by one in the cars dashboard vents can send a pretty good signal too. NOT that I would know

Hope you didn't have your cell phone or a pack of cigs in your pocket when you fell in the pool. I hate when that happens!! -
I still don't understand why they didn't put in a drive thru window when they designed the building. The water dept and electric company have them. How easy it would be for those that are prepared to not have to park and go inside the building, but just drive up and pay.

ummmm, maybe this Cobb County Water System has not had infrastructure problems; however, trucks have been spreading salt on roadways where groundwater came up through the pavement and froze. County spokesman Robert Quigley said heavy rains in recent months raised the water table, which is the reason the groundwater is seeping out.

What time will the results be posted? -
I concur. I never had had a heat pump system myself but know many that have. When temps drop this far the system just can not handle the desired interior temps. Never been a believer in heat pump systems, but again never had one. Guess it would work well out in Arizona now

You work on snow blowers? J/K. -
I agree. Soo sad when folks just think "walk away" is the best solution.

Well, my take on this topic: So be it, they resigned. For what reasons I do not know, nor care. As far as the community center I agree it is a nice place to have certain events, but with the economy and over the last couple of years Hiram PD has grown quite a bit and I am sure they need room to use built facilities now to help out. As for the local papers, if you want to read obits, legal notices, classifieds, etc.

I concur!!! Most likely they will drop your coverage like a brick if you contact them about this problem. Futhermore, I doubt you would be able to get another policy with any other insurance carrier

Thought I read 16.25, assuming it was from the Douglas office. Got a tip from a family member about this a couple of months ago. Look and understand what is stated on the website. Although great temp/interim job, it does come with some stips. Most importantly, the hiring process will not begin until spring 2010

Lots you can use from leftover ham. All the above. I also make a big batch of ham salad for sandwiches

Should I be more concerned about mold in the walls?
rockster replied to November Rain's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Depends on your insurance policy. Most policies state that YOU need to take proactive measures to protect the property from futher damage (such as water intrusion) when a storm, fire, or such has caused damage. My suggestions would be to: Call your insurance agent to brief him on the problems before calling the insurance carrier (remember, your agent works for you and is there to assist you with questions and concerns). Get a roofer out to temporarily repair the area leaking or cover up the roof with a big blue tarp (proactive approach not to cause futher damage) Start contacting roofing -

Black mold is nothing to mess around with. Contact your insurance co asap to have them come out and inspect. Hard to know if moisture is still there, but it is the perfect place for mold to grow. And if the water leaked down to your first floor ceiling is a concern. With drywall there is not much bleach or kilz will do to encapsulate the mold. My bet would be the insurance co would recommend to cut out the affected areas and replace with new drywall -
Rescue Air was there due to a bad accident on MillCreek Rd. The smoke is coming from someone burning debris in their yard in Carrington Pointe

By all means, take the opener and stash it. I use my garage as a place to park my cars. Other folks use the garage as storage/workshop. To each, whatever you want to utilize as. I just perfer to use it to park my cars in
