$4 million widening of Bill Carruth Parkway
rockster replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yep, right people. State people the funds come from. I believe most folks pay into the fed, state, and local funds. So be it, such a political process. Did the East Hiram Pkwy project get scrapped???? -
Settling Credit Card Dept. How do I do it?
rockster replied to firefighterwife's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not sure about the 7 yr unless chap 7 or 13. I am working towards paying off everything I owe. I took a bunch of advice on how to do this, decided to go my own route. So far, so good. Those that take the short sale, modified, or settlements on loans are going to be bit in the future. -
Settling Credit Card Dept. How do I do it?
rockster replied to firefighterwife's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Yeah, I would be cautious of something like that. I have recently found my financial downturn. But luckily was able to sell my property in PC for more than the debt on it, so that is satisfied and paid. CC's on the agenda but I am cautious about some deals they offer. I would love to be able to pay them off in full but at time this cannot. I do not want to get into the settlement, modified, or such agreements. Talking to a vast majority of folks, they are in getting in worst shape taking some of these "sounds great" deals that will follow them for many years -

Do you really believe the bridges over the SCT and RR tracks were designed for a 4-lane??? -

Where do you get your Medicare prescriptions filled
rockster replied to Cathyhelms's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I hate to hear this NG. Hope things work out for your parents. My mother turned 65 today and has been looking forward to her medicare coverage VS the monthly insurance payments that she has been paying that far exceeds in $$$$$$ a simple mortgage & utilities!!! I believe this is only the beginning in this economy. What was it, about a week ago Anita from PAK posted they had to close shop due to low Medicare payments?? A couple of weeks ago was talking to someone in the medical field. Although she thought it was a safe profession to be in, with the current economic issues people are -
I agree, it's there and we need to support and hope for the best. Although I do not have a dog in this fight since I recently moved from PC. I did have the opportunity to vote NO on the airport, which I believe was voted down twice by voters but the decision makers wanted it since the FAA was footing the bill. Well at the same time the head commiss being quoted on media in print and video saying it will not cost the taxpayers anything while at the same time the general operating budget for PC showed otherwise. Now with all the talk about "possible" big firms maybe interested in the st

Quick and easy dish I like. Cut up some bonesless chicken breasts into tenders. Marinade with a honey mustard marinade for about 30. Put chicken in casserole dish, cover with two or three cans of cream of mushroom soup out of the can, then cover with French's fried onions. Cook 350 about 40 minutes or until chicken is cooked

My understanding is the wiring and such is in place to time those lights on 278, but the state pulled the funding cause of budgets issues. This was about four years ago

Why are we becoming a society of pill poppers?
rockster replied to onekidmom's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Amen. And you know me on this subject. I avoid any meds at all costs unless very needed. I can't stand the side effects, nor the potential of getting addicted. I would rather suffer in a little pain and let my body work into fixing, not a quick pop a pill to ease the pain. I myself have noticed recently I have some close family members that are on a "just take this pill, you will feel better". Thanks, but no thanks. I am getting tired of family members offering me meds to help with sleep, pain in my back, a cramp, headache, or such. KMA, I will deal with it w/o meds!!!!! I know too many pe -

Nope, I would not. My ex wife had the chemo treatments and radiation. I have an Aunt currently that is completing the final treatment of radiation after months of chemo. IMO I think there may be other ways to "possibly" treat and cure cancer. Although, many types do occur and most frequently when found it at a horrible stage where they want to do agressive treatments such as chemo and radiation. But again, chemo is a poison injected in your body that cannot just pin point the exact location of the cancer as it attacks all the organs. Same for radiation, go put yourself in a microwave for

Other than cost and pre-existing condition clauses

I think we need a major overhaul in healthcare, how I do not know. It's sad when your own Doctor wants certain tests performed but that is denied by the insurance. I believe the Doctor should have the final word on what needs to be done for your health. Years ago I worked in a commercial office park, our largest tenant was a medical processing/claims company. Their business was to save money for their clients which were insurance companies. Here you have a cubicle dweller that really is not qualified to make medical decisions determining if someone needs certain tests or procedures performed. -

LOL! Thought the same. Not a good example. BUT, I do know CC.........full of community service, and talk as all gets out. Either on an insurance quote or a friendly chat, you will be talking to the one, Curtis! No BS, what you see is what you get........IMO -
Ain't gonna find much employment in PC worth paying your mortgage, food, insurance and stuff. I have made a decision that I am gonna move. I have a great opportunity in a nearby state that does entice people to relocate, and be able to make $$$$ to survive.

LMAO. I heard that as well. I do not the whole truth, but someone standing out in costume making a buck just tossing snowballs, and some nerd has to call 911 to report it. Well, whatever

The roads are fine. Drove to Hiram a while ago, no problems but some slush on backroads. Should be interesting when the temp drops. Use caution. I believe the ground temps are well above the freeze level, but you just never know. The slush I came across was in shady areas
