half baked???? A third maybe??? Fully baked!

Yep. Ever had to do it again I will go all electric. The surcharges alone on having gas service is unreal. I was paying an avg of $38/month with no gas usage. Those were just service charges

I would think. This comes off as a "meet & beat" topic. I just could not resist in replying

LOL. Can't resist posting. He already has demostrated getting "whooped, punched" just in his own hood (simple HOA mtg.). Then he goes off on his right to bare arms. OK, we all have that right to do so, so WTF why spread the word about always packing? What gets me laughing he has stated on this board, or another board, about having thoughts for running for an elected political position. Nuff said, LMAO

Keeps the security crews active!!!! Those cams on the light posts can zoom in!!!! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>not that I would know

Almost the same concept from years ago with having an antenna on the roof. I am not much of a couch potato sitting in front of a TV, but do enjoy watching in a rare moon. I got rid of cable, had a converter box, and went to HD and bought a very inexpensive "rabbit ears". I currently pick up about 22 channels clear as all get out. And it's free!!!! Now, if you are into cable and the many channels they offer, this would not work for you. For me, I pick up the network channels as well as numberous channels such as PBS or such

LOL. Many moons ago Ma Bell did the same tatic. Upgrade to touch-tone phones!!! Only to have a fee tacked on to your monthly phone bill "for touch tone" service. What's funny they were still, if not, charging for touch tone service VS if you had a rotary phone still in the late 90's

Not sure about these new boxes Comcast is sending out, maybe upgrades??? A couple of years ago they sent me one which I did hook up and had to call them to activate. Bottom line it was a PIA for them to activate it much less when the box went out after a power failure only to have to have them reactivate it. My channels worked just fine w/o the new box, much less needing another remoter control to fish for. I unhooked it and boxed it away. Good thing saving it, cause when I cancelled my service with Comcast they had tacked on the final bill a charge for $70................for the box I nev

If it looks like a scam, may be one. Watch out for the sharks that are going to try and ring out this disaster. I'd wait and/or ask any potential jobs have a per diem pay. If some companies are already "offering" cleanup jobs, ask BP to hire you. (Good luck) Although, just hang tight as FEMA is about to pull the plug on the ok to help.

Beware of AT&T charges and for their continued billing. I had to call them on the carpet when I disconnected my landline. They kept billing me. After many overseas techs which were dumbfounded on my inquire, they finally realised they were billing me for a service I had cancelled. Recently a couple of months ago cancelled my DSL, which they kept billing me on!!! I called them out again. Always get a confirmation number with whoever you request to cancel your service.

Signs, Signs, Everywhere there are Signs

Thanks for the pics. The trashy signs do no justice to the landscaping -
???? Unless things have changed, when I got rid of my landline and kept the DSL a couple of years ago, I still had dial tone on the phone only for 911 service. My landline was still active for that purpose, and that purpose only. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe old cell phones that have no monthly service fees will still work for calling 911 if the battery is charged.

Yep, blow the weed seeds over on the neighbors lawn!! What about the landscapers that blow the debris from the subdivision curbside

Oldhip, did someone ask you the age old question what the diff is between a frog and toad??? I guess you had to ponder on that and lost thoughts on driving!!! -
If memory serves me right, the family also had it rezoned to not only protect it from " Imminent Domain" but as well as to have something they could leave undeveloped to pass on to their daughter.

I heard well over a year ago it was related. The story I was told made some sense after the apparent intial investagation, where SS would abruptly just shut down in a particular location only to open up another location w/in the week. I was also told that some of the "outlet" stores went under different names other than SS.

Always when the sun is shining. A nice pair of Ray Ban which I have had well over ten years (you get what you pay for). Cheap eye glare wear when doing yard work or visiting the beach
