  1. I did.....they told me there were no calls made. I will say the thieves powered it off right away b/c we called it all night and it kept going straight to voicemail. Even this morning it was going straight to voicemail (hubby was convinced I "misplaced it" and the battery went dead. Then at about 9:30 a.m. I called it again and it started to ring, but no one would answer it. That is when he finally believed it was stolen. I knew exactly where I placed it b4 I got out of the car at the neighbors house.
  2. Yes, you did..... I know dumb thing to do. We were not expecting to be at the neighbors house long and we were parked in their driveway that was lit up very well. Trust me I am thankful they took nothing else....and yep....making sure I take that stuff out and lock the doors no mater what now.
  3. While we were at a friends house (they live in my subdivision too) last night someone opened my car door (no the car was not locked) and took my cell phone. We live near East Paulding High School. If anyone comes across a Verizon Wireless LG Dare please let me know. I am sure that whoever stole it has ditched it since I cancelled service on it, but the data on it is very important to me.....I would also like the brand new case I put on it 2 days ago!!! I am positive it was some teenagers as they took nothing else from the car......ie: GPS, wallet, CD's, and so on. Whoever took it last ni
  4. This is such a great thing, but I was a little disappointed in them a couple months ago. I had a neighbor that had a garage full of kids and baby items...about 2 truck loads...strollers, playpen, crib, high chair, toys, clothes, changing table......everything!!! Even end tables, coffee table, lamps and so on. They said to leave their number and they would schedule a time to pick up..... they never did. He ended up taking it all to the Goodwill in Hiram. I was so sad because I really wanted to see that stuff go to someone in need rather than to the Goodwill and be sold.
  5. I just went to the airport and back. There is standing water everywhere. Alot of the creeks are starting to spill over and the ditches are already half full with water!! Be safe out there!!!!!!!!!
  6. They do this every year. In the past they also have a raffle, rides for the kids, and usually they give away a ton of free things. When you get there you give them your name and they look to verify you are a greystone memeber and give you a gift. In the past it has been a box of 4 glasses, a tire guage/pen/pencil set....usually good useful stuff!!! It really is fun!!
  7. Dang, wish I would have know that before I sent two 39 gallon trash bags full to the donation center that is only going to sell them now!
  8. I have a new child attending this year as well, so I thought maybe they would have pulled her info and had the right number, but they didn't. The phone number they had from me was from 2 yrs ago. I really think they just go by the oldest child there. I would just call and check anyway just to be safe for future things. They told me that whatever number was sent to parent portal is the number they use. Don't really understand it, but I gave them the right number now and they said it will take a few days to get it updated through the school district. Go in parent portal and check famil
  9. I have not either, so I called today to find out why. Even though they have us fill out 5 million papers at the beginning of the year, they used the number from last year. If there was a phone number change you need to notify them. I would have thought the 5 million papers would have been a notification.....although I wondered who had to sit and go through all of them to make any changes.....guess no one. Lesson learned.....any changes from last year don't rely on the paperwork you filled out at the beginning of they year....verbally tell them. Cool with me.
  10. Here is my assumption. The coffee pot does not bring it to a rolling boil for one minute prior to coming out.......so I would say boil first then put it in the pot. Don't know for sure though.
  11. A friend of mine that lives near Brooks Rackley/Holland Rd has no water either. I am assuming the break is in that area. We are good over here on the side of East Paulding High School.
  12. I am at 92 and East Paulding and we had emptied the pool to let it dry out so we could put it up..........it is FULL!!! It is a 3 foot tall pool.
  13. I was working at the Coca Cola building in downtown Atlanta that day. It was my second week there. They have CNN broadcasted all over on TV's though out the building, so we saw the first reports of it happening. Everything was crazy there. Just as the second plane hit the second tower they closed the Coca Cola building and told us all to go home and do not stop anywhere. It was MASS CHAOIS !!! I sat in the parking deck for over an hour in traffic until they finally opened the entrance gates and redirected us out that way. Then I got lost in downtown b/c I only knew one way to the coke b
