I did attend his conference with his teacher in March. I sat and listened to how smart he was and how sweet he is but that he needs to work on control. I am not disagreeing that he, around other children, needs to work on control. While at the conference she still gave no specifics as to what was going on throughout the day so that I can focus on that problem. On the topic of being on yellow everyday I feel that it is not effective anymore. At this point he gets a spanking and playing priveledges taken away for being on yellow and he really is not concerned. He knows that it's his punishmen

I agree. I'm just not sure how to get the teacher on board.

Ok let me clarify a few things. I am not saying that the teacher should not punish my child for misbehaving at school, not an issue. Trust me I would have not problem coming up to the school to "punish" him myself if she would call me when he was acting out. I just believe that there are more options for punishment for a FIVE-YEAR-OLD. He does not have a clue as to what he is writing or even why he is writing. I am all for taking away play time, sitting alone during lunch, not being aloud to participate in fun activities. My view is that she is supposed to be teaching my child to write by enco

My son is five-years-old and in Kindergarten. He by no means is the best behaved child in the world but his teacher continues to make him write sentences as a punishment. It's stuff like "I will follow the rules". I do not feel that it is appropriate to encourage children to write and then use writing as a form of punishment. I intend on writing something to the teacher to explain how I feel but wanted to see if I was being too protective (as mothers sometimes do). Any imput is appreciated.

I am not sure I can see how asking a child to eat something other than a peanut product for one meal a day is depriving them.

I know it sounds simple but honey will help. It coats your throat and helps stop the cough reflex.

Wow, I am completely floored at how people can be so inconsiderate of others. If my child needed to wash his/her hands after eating and brush their teeth, then so be it. I would just be teaching them that everyone is different and that we should be considerate to others needs. These parents need to use this a learning opportunity for thier children and stop finding things to complain about.

Swift Cantrell park in Kennesaw is nice.

The Lanisol cream is awesome for diaper rash as well. My daughter had excema & it was a life saver!

My daughter is 7 1/2 & she wears a 7 1/2 in womens. That's the same size I wear.

It is actually "normal" for a child to wet the bed until they are preteens. My son is 4 1/2 and his dr said that he will eventually out grow it.

I'm sure I will get yelled at...but why are we so concerned about the rights of people illegally in this country? Just askin'.

There is absolutely no reason why healthy people should get a flu shot. WHen you get a flu shot each year you are banking on the fact that the doctors in a lab have picked the right combination. My daughter has asthma and we do not reveive the flu shot even though it is recommended for the entire family. My theory is that if we get it then we get it. We will forever be protected from that strain. Doctors are however working on a universal flu vaccination that will cure it after it has invaded your body. -

They are still in the process of getting the accreditation. They have completed all of the other areas to be on track for approval. Do you go to Chattahoochee?
-
Currently Chattahoochee offer both the LPN program & the RN program. You can do the LPN program, work for a year, & then bridge to the RN. The easiest thing is to go directly into RN. It's only a couple of extra classes & the $ is MUCH better.
