  1. Thank you for this post!!! Snakes can make great pets!! My daughter always wanted an albino python, but we knew how big it would get so we didn't let her have one. I've know lots of peope who've had snakes around small children and nothing has ever happened if the snake is cared for properly and properly contained. The tragic death of this child is definitely the fault of the snake's owner.
  2. They said he's got family that lives across from Dollar General.
  3. Can you still get the archieves? I looked on the new site but couldn't seem to find any archieves.
  4. Interested in 3T & 4T, all seasons.
  5. Channel 2 kept talking about an e-mail this morning but didn't actually have the story on until after I left for work. Some people are just too sick and perverted for words.
  6. I don't own an I-pod. My favorite TV show is the Bachelor or Bachelorette (whichever is on). My favorite junk fook is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
  7. I took my 3-year-old grandson to see "Up" in 3-D when it first came out. It was over $20 for admission and the glasses. We spent about the same amount at the concession stand. And we spent about $5 on the games while we waited on the movie to start. That was the first time he'd ever been to the movies, and he absolutely loved it! He was so cute sitting there with his 3-D glasses on, with his popcorn and drink!! Now he wants to see the Transformer movie and the new Ice Age movie. Every time the previews come on TV, he tells his mom that he's going to the movies with grandma. I hate
  8. Captain Anderson's is the best!! We ate there last year and it was the best food of our whole vacation. The only problem was that it cost close to $100 for two of us. It was worth it though. I don't care for Pineapple Willie's. It's way over-priced for food you can make yourself. Never ate at Saltwater Grill. The Treasure Ship is great, too. We ate there in May. Legacy by the Sea is pretty nice. My daughter-in-law and her husband have stayed there before. I know you'll have a great time. Just know that in August there will be traffic worse than rush-hour here!!!
  9. It's all about "forbidding". I just used furniture as an example. I don't feel that one partner should "forbid" another to have something they really want. You can get killed in a car wreck just as easily as riding a motorcycle. It's all about being a responsible rider and paying attention to your surroundings. If he got the bike, I bet the wife would enjoy it as much as he does if she'd just give it a chance.
  10. I know how you feel. My husband's truck was stolen a couple of years ago. He did get it back, but all his stuff was gone, including the $1,000 deposit he was going to take to bank.
  11. I had to go to Gainesville today for work. I heard on the radio that all the law enforcement was going to be out on the interstates really craking down on speeders. I left earlier than I usually would so that I could go slow. I only saw one GSP on the way there, and he was writing someone a ticket. I didn't see any on the way home. I don't know where they were but they weren't on I-20, I-285, or I-85.
  12. The best one I've ever had was from Taco Mac. The 2nd best was from Topps Bar & Grill. Both in Douglasville.
  13. I am shocked that he has passed away. But, like my daughter said, no one is guaranteed their next breath. In the beginning he was an awesome singer and performer. Now, I think when most people think of him, they see himfor the pedophile that he was. I am sorry to hear of anyone's passing, but the world is rid of a sick individual who abused kids. The greater loss is Farrah, who really suffered. I was on my way back from Gainesville when I learned of her death. That really broke my heart. MJ's death was just a big surprise.
  14. We used to eat there all the time when they first opened. We loved the fact that they delivered. I didn't know they had new owners. That explains why they changed the menu and the food was horrible. My husband asked the other night if they still delivered. I reminded him that the food was horrible the last time we got it. We ended up going to eat Mexican!!
  15. I just don't understand wives or husbands that don't want their spouse to have certain things. If it is affordable and the other one really wants it, what's the problem. I had a co-worker who forbid her husband to get a motorcycle. If I forbid my husband to get something, it would be in the yard/garage/house so fast it wouldn't be funny. And the reverse is true. What if she wanted new furniture? What's the difference? Nothing!! If an adult wants to make a purchase of something and can afford it, go for it!!! The motorcycle would be fun for your wife as well. My husband sold ours
  16. I went to Mercer in Lithia Springs. Who was your professor? I had several classes taught by Maj. Corey. He was a retired police officer. I enjoyed his classes so much!!
  17. He is 4 years old. You are the parent. Pick what you want him to wear. Period. ADHD or not, he has to learn to follow rules and not be allowed to make his own. IMO, too many people let their children tell them what to do at a VERY early age. That's why kids are out of control these days. Parents need to be firm, put their foot down, and show the kids that they mean business.
  18. I believe that most police officers are good people and do their jobs to the best of their ability. But---it seems like the majority of State Police are arrogant, rude, and think that they are ALWAYS right. I've have very few dealings with them, but they were never pleasant. County and city officers seem to just be more pleasant and easy to deal with. They seem to care more about people that State Police do. JMO.
  19. I would NEVER put my 10-year-old child on a plane alone to fly anywhere. If an adult can't go with them, they don't need to go. Too much can happen.
  20. I don't know if this has been posted already. If so, sorry about that!!! I just heard on the radio that Travis Tritt's father passed away on Monday. My prayers are with Travis and his family.
  21. Denise: Even though I've never met you, I know that you are, no doubt, one of the strongest women in the world. You have handled this whole experience with such faith and grace. I just don't think I could have handled it so well. I have followed Ashton's story from the beginning. He was an amazing little boy and touched so many lives. You were very lucky to have had him in your life. May God bless and keep you and your family in this most difficult time. My thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you. Donna Rosser
  22. I heard this on the radio on my way to work. They said it was "serious". Prayers for all involved.
  23. This just breaks my heart!! My prayers are with Denise and her family.
  24. If I'm not mistaken, I think his last name was Edwards because a couple of the officers were calling him Mr. Edwards when speaking to each other - kind of sarcastic. It seemed like they were familiar with him.
  25. I heard all of this!! Very exciting!!! This guy was determined to get away! He was 10-99 out of Rome. They threw out stop sticks, and he went off the road into the woods to get around them!! He finally ran over some more stop sticks and just kep on going. Finally ended up turning down a dead-end road and hit a tree. They got him and his buddy. He was tazed but refused medical treatment.
