  1. I got caught up in this on my way home from work. My fuel pump actually decided to quit working so I was stranded and was there until the cars were removed. There were 3 life-flight helicopters. I believe there was an 11-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl injured. They were laying on the road but I don't know if they were ejected or not. I believe the driver of the gold car was entrapped. It was a very bad wreck. Prayers for everyone involved.

  2. On our way to the fireworks, towards Hiram, at about 9:00 tonight, there were several PCSO cars in a driveway on the left side of the road next to what appeared to be a house that had burned. This is right across from Morningside Drive. On the way home, about 10:10, they were still there but no longer had their flashing blue lights on.

Does anyone know what's going on?

  3. Back in April, 2013, my son-in-law cleaned out my garage for me. I had an old bookcase and several boxes of stuff that he sat on the curb for the garbage pick-up. This was on a Sunday afternoon. On Monday, the garbage people didn't pick the stuff up. On Tuesday I had a card left by the Marshall's office requesting phone call. They were very rude and told me I had 24 hours to get rid of the stuff or I would be slapped with a fine. They did not give a flip that I had just had shoulder surgery the week before and had no one, at that particular time, to help me do anything with the stuff. It wasn't even very much at all, and was not even unsightly. Everything was packed very neatly in boxes, except for the bookcase. I had to drag everything back into my garage, in the rain, and reinjured my shoulder in the process. I can't believe they won't be more aggressive with someone who has such a mess at their house, especially if they know where the owner lives.

  4. I live off of Ridge Road, and we have had vehicles broken into and gone through before. About a month ago, my dog was barking like crazy. When I looked out my bedroom window, there were two individuals prowling around the neighborhood with a flashlight. I called Paulding County SO and, when they arrived, the two people were just sitting in the middle of the road at the corner of my house.

Guess what----the police just talked to them and let them go. The officer said it was two teenage girls who were just walking around the neighborhood having a smoke!!! It was 2 a.m., they did not live in the neighbor hood, and had a flashlight. Just because they were teenage girls doesn't mean they aren't capable of breaking into a car!!!! If all they were doing was smoking, why couldn't they do it at home or in their own neightborhood? And I thought there was a curfew for teenagers.

  5. If you live in Poole Bridge Park or the surrounding area, be aware that there were two guys trying to get into cars around 5:40 a.m. on Monday. I saw them standing in the road when I left to go to work. My daughter actually saw them checking the car doors in a driveway. She called the police, but they were not able to locate the guys.

Just wanted everyone to be sure to keep their cars locked if they are not in the garage.

  6. I was wondering that too. Maybe he had warrants.

I am also curious as to why he was administered a breathalyzer test if he had been ID'd as the passenger. Sounds like an overeach by police to me unless of course he was on parole.

The Paulding County Sheriff's web site said he was charged with: serious injury by vehicle, failure to carry or show license, no proof of insurance, and failure to yield left turn.

  7. I had planned a quick trip to Wal-Mart on my way to work this morning. I hadn't heard anything about this but, once I got down that way, there were a whole lot of flashing lights and everyone was turning around. Couldn't tell what was on fire. There are houses down there, along with the church, bank, and daycare. If anyone hears what burned, please post. I also hope no one was injured.

I guess I'll go to Wal-Mart after work!!!

  8. My co-worker's husband called her. He said traffic was backed up all the way to Laird Road. The accident happened at 92 and Ridge. He said there were four cars involved and it looked really bad. I was hoping to find out more on here!!

  9. We did the one at Ben Strickland Park year before last where they dropped the eggs from the helicopter. What a nightmare!! The adults were acting crazy!! The little ones barely got any eggs. Last year, we did White Oak Park and were very pleased. We like the fact that the ages are divided up and the times are staggerd. The kids really liked it because they actually got some eggs. We're definitely going back again this year.
