I would have to say my favorite job was all my years at the Social Security Administration Disability Hearing Office. Some of the most heartbreaking cases that were absolute NO-BRAINERS as to the awarding of disability insurance benefits as well as supplemental security income. There were also ridiculous cases that made you just shake your head and wonder how on earth this person had such a case of "entitlement" to everything. I also dealt with overpayment cases. But by far the most intriquite cases were those of paternity. as in....man dies - his 2 kids receive child benefits

UPDATE: Kymberly is doing much better than expected. Her drain tubes are out and she is healing. She goes back in to the surgeon to check her progress on Tuesday. Thanks for all the loving and prayers and support!

I also am quite intrigued about the reported possible connection with gastrointestinal issues being linked with autism. Although it is standard questioning for new patients, I know when "autism" is mentioned at ANY specialist my daughter sees, they ask about gastrointestinal issues. Could be side effects to numerous meds she takes....but is interesting nonetheless.
