Lots of pain meds and ice bags on the outside of the cheeks. The swelling will be big and that will help with both the pain and the swelling.

Denise -- I have never met you -- but have been deeply affected by your perserverence and faith. I believe that you are much more of an inspiration to others then you realize. God bless you and your husband.

It's my HALO. It glows so bright.

My son is in AFJROTC and he is on the drill team. He brought his rifle home friday after the homecoming game, to practice spinning his rifle. He was not allowed to bring it on the bus back to school with him, so I brought it up to the school yesterday. So, if this were to have happened yesterday, it very easily could have been me I got out of my car, holding the rotc rifle, and walked into the school, just like any other parent would when delivering something to their student. Have fun with this one

The last tournament in soccer that he played in--absolutely devastated him. When the whistle blew that the last game was over....he dropped in the middle of the field in tears. He had to be carried off the field. That broke my heart. He fought all the way through the games -- but paid a mighty hefty price for it. I took that choice away for the next season....hoping it will heal. till today that is.

I will on the hug LOVE THIS IDEA

I hope not. Right now he has to wear a stretching boot to "gently" stretch his calf muscles and tendons. Lots of ice and motrin. Then more ice. Kinda the way it will be for a while. He needs to learn to stay off his feet when they hurt. The kid needs to learn to LISTEN to his body. His feet are screaming and he hasn't been listening I think they have his attention now

It is VERY painful. I feel bad for him. He was really upset about having to sit out this season of soccer. Now -- I don't know when he will be able to go back. It just goes right along with my day today. My GMA (age 85 -- little old lady I always refer to who lives with me) was diagnosed with diabetes with an A1C of 8.3%. She is SEVERELY dehydrated. Neurologist thinks she has Parkinson's disease or some other form of dementia. MRI and EEG from Neurologist for her next wednesday. Thursday she has cardiac echo and halter monitor. I took all medications away from her -- cuz

I don't know whether to hug him or beat him. He did this before and it WAS healing. It is called Sever's disease. Basically in a nut shell his bones are growing faster than his muscles and tendons can adapt....so when he jumps (or plays soccer .... we had to sit out this season because of this injury) it tears. He played kick ball in school today...jumped...came down on his foot wrong....and ended up in the nurse's office. The doc said he could cast his foot BUT it would not help -- because this will continue to be an issue until his growth plate fuses onto his heel bone....arou

This is what my son did AGAIN to his foot today. See how the growth plate is not attached. See also how there is more space at the bottom of the plate than at the top. See how the growth plate has been ripped from the bottom of his heel. See my sanity going right out the window

If someone had a cardiac arrest in your presence, what would you do?

I learned about the continuous chest compression method while my daughter was in septic shock in a Phoenix hospital in 2006. They did that to her. I never saw that method before so after everything settled down after she was intubated...I asked about it. -
Awwww poor guy cant seem to catch a break! Prayers for him

My little cairn terrier is doing the same thing. I am feeding him very small amounts of white rice with some boiled chicken. He threw those up. He keeps wanting to eat grass which makes him throw up more. He had diarrhea 2 days ago, none yesterday, but is still puking yellow bile. I believe (but am not sure so I have to research for myself) that pepto can be given to dogs for upset tummy. Let me know what works for you and I will do the same.

Yeppers! I would say that "needing to get that off your chest" REALLY revokes your ManCard!

Does anyone know what happened yesterday morning

Not sure if this is it or not -- but when I was listening to the scanner yesterday someone had found a firearm and the police were called to the scene to retrieve it....not sure if it relates to what you are talking about.
