Has anyone ever know it to flood like this before

I've lived in 5 states in my lifetime and have NEVER seen this heavy rain activity before. I got to work, but lawdy knows if I'll get back home tonight! -
Do as the wise King Solomom did. Next time they hassle you about it, tell them you'll have it cut in half and each can have a piece. I can kinda relate, my DD is having to share my truck with me due to her totaling her car a couple of weeks ago. Of course, I don't have the same exact problem because when I say it's mine today.....it's MINE today.

Really?! My mother will require medication if that's the case...... I think that's what she watches. Maybe I'm thinking about The Old and the Worthless...

With all due respect, the offender causes the wreck, not the authorities. The offender decides to run. Unless there was maneuver made by the deputies that was not mentioned, the driver crashed the van and is 100% at fault for placing any passengers in danger. IMHO of course.

We did it for my DD's 13th or 14th b'day party. We got about 4 colors of dye and set out 4 containers. They each had white t-shirts and we gave them several large rubber bands each. They wadded up the shirts in various places and wrapped rubber bands around those areas. Then they randomly dipped portions of their shirts in each container. We let them lay on platic in the garage for a few minutes, un-wrapped them and hung them up to dry. I think I had more fun than they did!

That reminds me of a previous group we were involved in, in the late 90's. The owner was one of the worst micro-managers I ever met. One summer we had a date with Gold City in Gadsden, AL and he couldn't go with us. It worried him to death. He called at several times during the concert and asked a dozen questions about what we were doing and how it was going. I told him that he shouldn't concern himself, everyone knew what their jobs were, what time to be there and how to conduct themselves. I told him it was on auto-pilot and to please stop micro-managing from afar. God rest hi

How do you know when you have a "what not". Is that something a doctor has to tell you? This is starting to bother me.

Delegation is an essential element in good management. It could even be considered necessary to complete the mission. Proper delegation is a morale booster and reduces chaos in the work place. You have several tasks that have to be accomplished. You distribute them to those you trust to complete the tasks efficiently and then trust them to get the job done. That trust gives them confidence and self esteem. You avoid micro-managing and let the machine work. It is a matter of leadership.

Prior to doing what I do now, I operated a small business 26 years ago that specialized in: High Pressure Fiber Restoration and Sanitation aka carpet cleaner

American Body Works, formerly known as World Gym. 2 locations that I am aware of: 1 on Whitlock Ave in Marietta and 1 on 278 in Hiram. I go to the Whitlock location on my way into work. I understand the Hiram location is a little smaller. Nice, fairly new facility. All cardio machines are equiped with TV and there is an abundance of free weights and Universal type equipment. Down side - No ceiling fans for those of us who actually get HOT. For those who are there for "show" or who talk more than work-out, it's not an issue. You'd have to call for a price. I've been there f

Silly, it's across the street from the Hiram Red Box.

I suppose you could say that I manage a few individuals who interview people and document "things". But part-time I promote ZION...as if you hadn't noticed. I miss the old banner, but this one helps the cause.

Pretty COOL Too bad though, I was going to pull a fast one on a friend. Well, maybe they aren't a real friend...

How long does it remain and how do you remove it?

Mornin'! Coffee anyone?

So that's who daddy was sneakin' around with!

My dad used to tell me that I made him wish birth control was retroactive. What you reckon he meant by that?

You just about could have just posted a link to the members list

I enjoyed it though. I'd like to continue the coffee meet, but it's a little early for a lunch break and a tad out of my way. I was just fortunate that day that I had to be in Dallas for a little business. I'm sure it pays better

Yeah, I know....one got me earlier today. Smart mouth came up to my window and said: "Boy, I've been waiting on you" I replied, "Well, I got here as quick as I could"!

Oh, no. I didn't mean to leave you out. It's been a few months and I've developed a case of Sometimers. Sorry

That could actually mean that you've met eight 250lb people.

I will second that! A few weeks ago when I posted about my daughter's accident, I didn't mention enough that it was by the Grace of God and an answer to prayers that I can't number that He protected her. But to p.com and naturegirl, I am thankful for the online friends I have made here, even though I have met only a few. I once ran a forum until circumstances at work limited my ability to do so. I missed those friends that I had known for years and still do, but many here have filled that void. Please, carry on....
