  1. You should stop by my house one day. Sometimes DD wears SO MUCH perfume, when she stands still she leaves a puddle.
  2. I'm allergic to B.O. Reckon how they're gonna fix that?
  3. Welcome to "Knee Jerk Central" That's the SOP for Federal, State and Local Governments.
  4. Does he sell Ice Cream also?
  5. Funny how we all adopt a place in our vacation town to eat. The fam and I have to go to Giuseppe's at least once during the week. My DD wouldn't know what to do if we missed it. It's on Nova Road in Port Orange.
  6. You don't sound dumb!
  7. We ate at the Hard Rock Cafe the last time we visited. Neat place
  8. You have to move to Alabama
  9. No, it's not really not my nature to show my rear end, but if I get "Large Black Coffee with Sugar" again after I clearly said "Large Coffee Cream ONLY", I may just have to Go Pinsky on them!
  10. Well, y'all, I suggest you keep a close eye on those double charges. Even if it's a small amount, they happen. Checking the on-line account against the written leger was the only reason DW caught it. I know of one example of double charging and it's not always the salesperson's fault. They swipe your card and the clerk says the transaction didn't go through. They swipe it again and it works. Then BOTH charges appear on your statement. This very thing happened to us in January.
  11. We use that as well, but DW does accounting and still wants it written down to check off against the posted debits to make sure the amount charged is accurate. I have to give her credit, she has found a couple of errors in the past and just recently a "double charge".
  12. I wish people would STOP asking me, at many places I go, if I need a receipt. YES! Save your breath and give me a receipt! I don't know about everyone else here, but we have ONE CHECK BOOK, actually a leger that we keep track of debit card purchases. If I don't keep a receipt, I will probably not remember to write the amount in the leger and risk the WRATH of DW! What? Are they trying to save the planet by not giving each customer a 1 by 2 inch piece of paper? Maybe they are tyring to save the business .0005 cents. If so, get over it. It's the price of doing business. Wha
  13. I agree. Politicians no longer have the heart of a servant....which is what they are. The office of president needs to adopt the police slogan, "To Protect and Serve". It's really no more complicated than that. Today it's very different... "To wipe my nose as a child, Provide my day care, Provide my education, Provide my Health Care, Provide my Welfare, Provide my transportation, Provide me a home, Provide my Midnight Basketball Program, Provide my government job, Provide my medication, Provide my Medicare, Provide my Hover Round, Provide my Elderly Care, Pay for my funeral". 14. With the exception of 2 years while it was being renovated, we have stayed at Catalina Beach Club which is not very far down the road from Castaways. It's not super fancy, but it's always been maintained in a very clean manner and has been totally renovated in the past 2 years. I wouldn't call it a "high rise" even though it has 6 floors. In years past we would go down and rent a unit when MIL and FIL would go. Their unit is on the ground floor. It was always week #26, which fell during July 4th. As many have already posted, that is probably the MOST desired week and will be in
  15. The current winner of the: "Ice Cream Man 'O The Month Award"
  16. I didn't strike a cord with a few clown-o-phobists did I? This guy kinda favors John Wayne Gacey don't he? Just curious, I wonder where all this clown stuff started anyway?
  17. You may have a point! Except it's not a BB Gun, but a badminton racket. That reminds me....it's almost bumble bee bandminton season. My favorite sport! My personal best is almost 25 yards!
  18. Not to make matters worse, but ours dresses up as a clown! I wouldn't worry about it though...
  19. I considered not planting anything this year. I had 4 tomato plants last year that grew plenty big, but didn't produce worth a FLIP! But then again, I'm no gardener.
  20. I agree that not all govt is out to get us. I'm one of the nice guys, just ask my Mom.
  21. Out to get us? They've already got us and will probably have more of us if they ram this bill through this week.
  22. I do love Chattanooga. It's a beautiful city and area to live. I finished my last year of High School at Hixson and my mother and sister still live there. If I couldn't move to the beach, my second choice would be to move back to Chattanooga. Maybe one of those houses that teeter on a cliff on Signal Mountain. What a VIEW!
  23. Well, I've lived in 3 northern states and 2 southern states thus far. I've been as happy here as anywhere. I'd resist moving any further north again. Although family is here or pretty close by, I'd move to the beach if DW and I could afford it when we retire. There have been pros and cons where ever I've lived. It's all what you make of it, IMHO.
