  1. My teachers awarded me the "extinguished" level.
  2. They ain't got nothing on the Paulding Middle School my student attended. At the close of one of their fundraisers, the students that sold a certain amount of "product" were permitted to attend a Fun Day, complete with blow-up slides and pizza. My student sold just under the prescribed amount and had to go to class with most of the other students. My student felt like a portion of the students were being rewarded for their sales and the rest were be punsihed for their inability to make sales. It made me SO MAD I could SPIT! I wrote and faxed a letter to the principle asking if it was thei
  3. I'll tell you how DW did it. She stopped allowing me to eat cabbage.
  4. You got THAT right! An expanding Glock means jobs, folks. That's what people need. Now's not the time for tree huggin'.
  5. I would like to think that, but don't believe that is the motivation. We received our reduced value notice in the mail a month ago, as most of you did. I REALLY don't believe they stopped by to make sure it was lowered enough. I wouldn't mind welcoming them if I even had a clue they were coming by.
  6. Next thing you know that lady with the tape measure will be riding around with him.
  7. Not real bright is she? It won't be real funny on the day someone walks behind her and snatches her bald headed! I feel like going over to the new court house with my own little tape measure and saying, "Nope...looks to me like you got plenty of money....sorry...no more from me".
  8. My daughter tells me that while I slept today, a woman was on our porch taking measurements. Short of me winning an HGTV Whole House Makeover, she must have been an assessor for the county. Daughter told me she was driving a small white truck with what appeared to be a photo of the court house. I guess since our home values have dropped, they need to take measurements to jack up our taxes. I asked her why she didn't wake me. She said she would have if the woman started to carry off anything. I just wonder of there was any notice given in the paper about someone coming around and j
  9. That sounds like good practice to me. I'm sure that over the course of a few months time you'll be able to tag a few folks with a "texting" while driving citation. I'm sure you would want to be satisfied that you were correctly issuing the charge. IMHO, the legistlators mean well and, at times, try to put laws into place that families of victims demand without realizing or fully understanding the difficulties of enforcing them. They sound REAL good, but enforcement and "burden of proof" is a whole nuther issue. Is that really a word? "nuther". I hate when people use that!
  10. Same here. Please give us a review when you get it up and running.
  11. I'm sure those points will be easy to articulate, maybe with the exception of failure to dim. That's a situation in which an officer would be hard pressed to state he saw someone with a phone in hand, unless it's a fleeting glance as you meet them...in the dark. I agree with the law in general, although the pc you mentioned to stop the violator I would like to see used more often, regardless of phone usage. People who fail to signal, dim their lights and make erratic lane changes need some time on the curb, notwithstanding the texting law. Its been literally years since I've worked tra
  12. I have Verizon. No problems. I'd rather have a DRIOD that works than an IPhone that doesn't.
  13. I saw a guy one day looking over to see what the driver in the car next to him was doing and slammed into the car in front of him.
  14. Maybe I'm just tired snd can't think, but where is our member number?
  15. If fish are always in the water, why do you have to clean them?
  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! After my birthday on Friday, I'm seriously considering not having another one.
  17. I'll have to remember my No Doze since I have to work the night before. Oh well, the band will keep me up.
  18. I used to LOVE Lost In Space. But I just dated myself, didn't I?
  19. It takes real brave men to hide behind civilians. GOOD JOB!
