Academy Sporting Goods Store will be Opening in Douglasville, in the Spring of 2014. The actual building is being built directly behind the 5 & 20, To The Point Liquor Store on Hwy 5. Doug Co is building a road to go straight across Hwy 5 to the new store.

I went over to the the little weather/temperature thingymajig to move it around so I could take a picture of it and I broke it. It said 8.2 and we are in the New Ga community. Hwy 61 & Ridge Rd area. The temperature on my phone (30180 zip code) shows 7 degrees and Dallas is showing 5 degrees. I boiled a small pan of water, went out back and threw it into the air and it froze in mid air, for the most part. Some of the water DID land in the grass and steam was up off of the ground. NOW, I'm going to try the bubbles!!!

I did find out that Heard Co Schools are closed and more than likely, WGTC will be closed, too. I know that's not positive but, oh well!!! tia

2002 Impala

My son's car has been having an issue for a little while with the "Security" light coming on and the car won't crank now. When it first started doing this it would just leave you stranded for a little while, you'd have to keep trying to crank it and after about an hour it would crank. Now, nothing. Does anyone know of someone local? tia

Yes, just handing the card over to the bank reminds me of the unsuspecting lottery ticket buyers, when they hand over their tickets to be checked to see if they are a winner and the cashier tells them "NOT A WINNER" and they (cashiers) just keep the ticket and it really was a winner, A BIG WINNER at that!! I've seen it a couple of times on tv, already. IF, hubby buys a ticket, He always cheks the ticket himself, in the little machine at Publix.

By chance did you call Martin's and ask if anyone had reported loosing it, there? Did you try to find the person in the white pages? (Yes, there are white pages still being printed), I might also try calling the regions bank and tell them what you have. Maybe they can find the person it belongs to. But, then again, I trust NO ONE, these days. If it were me.......... I'd give the bank my phone number and have the person that the card belongs to, call me and I'd check the ID before handing it over. I'd do this inside the bank as well. There use to be a Bakery in Downtown Dallas, near the Pizza place, between the Pizza place and the theater. They provided the cake for Helping Hands Grand Opening, OMG, the cake was soooo goood!!!

We give a Baby Shower for each pregnancy. Because the first might be a girl born in June and then the next child be a boy born in September, (boys can't wear the girl clothes) the next girl may be born in December, which is a totaly different season and the clothes from the first baby girl will not be proper attire for the second baby grl!! This is why I don't mind a shower for EACH child. Times "have" changed and each generation will change as well.

Now, I "could" be wrong but, it looks to me like the Green = Rain(RN), Blue = Snow(SN), Yellow = Freezing Rain(FZRA), Red = ???? (Don't know what thia one could be!!) And last but NOT least....Pink = Mix(Mix) Not sure where or how you interpreted Snow, all the way down to Florida.................. Please explain. I'm just curious!! tia

I only know of the people who work at my (the one we shop) store but, the people there do seem to love their jobs and have been there for quite a long time. If I were to ever need a job again, I'd try ther first, only because I could only work part time AND I live across the street.

There's only one empty space, if I'm not mistaken. I'd go to Arbor Place Mall anyday, before I'd go to Lenox, of course that's out of my (cheap) price range!!! Pretty much, if it's NOT on sale or clearance, I DON'T/WON'T buy it!! Unless it's one of those specialty items that I just have to have and can't find anywhere else!!

Sometimes, what they don't know, won't hurt them!! The American Girl Dolls are over rated!!! That's ridiculous for a doll to be that much and to charge just as much for a doll haircut as for a real persons haircut, NOT ME!!!! My Grands will have to do the imitation AG dolls "IF" they ever want one!!!

Yesterday, the wonderful cook at Publix, was cooking Pan Sauced Pork chops and Black Eyed Pea Cakes, she didn't have any Black Eyed Pea Cakes cooked, as we got t heir and got the very last serving of the pork chops. It did have some black eyed pea sauce, though. It was pretty good. I bought the ingredients to fix this dinner and although I did NOT have, nor did I want the green pepper sauce, it was still pretty good!!! I made my own Cream Cheese and Chive stuff and I cooked dried beans, instead of using the two cans of black eyed peas. It turned out pretty good!!! Better than I expected.

Thats awesome!! Heck, I can't bend over or squat down, to shave my legs!!!
