Fire Dept, said there was an outside burn and the ac unit sucked the "burning smell" into the house. NO FIRE, Thank God!!!!! A couple of weeks ago, it was kind of chilly outside and I kept smelling something burning, it took me a few minutes to realize it may be from someone burning their fireplace.

There is a house fire in the Fullerton Ridge S/D just west of the 4 way stop at Ridge Rd and Cohran Store Rd. I just hope it's NOT a total loss and everyone is out and safe.

Weeeeeeelllllll, since "Kroger " has partnered with Shell, the gas at Kroger on Ridge Rd has gone up, raised to Shell's prices (Shell was always .10 higher than Kroger and Grands) Kroger has basically lost our business with Gas, we can get it cheaper at the Marathon on Hwy 61 , just below New Ga. The gas prices at Kroger at 278 & 61 was $2.64 yesterday and last time I looked at Kroger gas a couple of days ago it was $2.7?. Marathon is our new friend

That burms me up too, we almost got us a biker one day. Hubby stopped, didn't see anyone coming and oooops, the biker had to hit his brakes reeeeal hard!!! I think they need to replace those itty bitty STOP signs and put up the BIG HUGE ones, ON THE TRAIL SIDE.

We have been in this house since Nov 01 and it has a heat pump. It's not as warm as gas heat and I'm cold natured anyway. But, here in New Ga, it has never gotten cold enough for the heat strips to kick on! So when it gets real cold, I wear 2 sets/pairs of sweats, a pair of wool socks with my house shoes on and my scarf covering my head & ears!!!!!!!!! Hubby is hot natured, wouldn't you know it. Boil some chicken (with the skin still on the chicken) about 1 lb, more or less depending on your likings, add garlic and whatever seasonings you like. Yes, Helping Hands has a great need for Case Management Volunteers, I have been there for 2.5 yrs and I have seen about 8 case managers quit in the last 6 months, due to different reasons.
