  1. I know you're not a snob. I think I'll try and talk him into it another time....maybe it'll work. **writing hotel name down** You're awesome! Thanks!
  2. Somebody said no to the Biltmore - he thinks it's full of rich snobs. Pretty sure he'd say the same about Chateau, which sucks because I love it there.
  3. I'll have to look those up, thanks! Thanks!
  4. I stayed there in the 12 bedroom cabin right before little one turned a year old - my whole family went. When they say that cabin comfortably sleeps 58, they mean it! There were 56 of us.
  5. Thanks! I'll check it out. What room type did you stay in? Oh, I haaaaaate Gatlinburg - it reminds me of a Panama City in the mountains. See, that's the second time I've heard that. What city/area?
  6. That would be awesome, thanks! Do you know where in N. Georgia? My other half actually works up there so it wouldn't so special for him because he's always up there....the others were interested in a mountain trip, though.
  7. Several of my friends and I were talking - I have a special occasion coming up in early February and a few others have wedding anniversaries coming up within the next several months. Other than Savannah (that's already the top of my list), what are some romantic getaway ideas for 2-3 days. We're all up for anything - hiking trips, zip lining, spa weekends, sight seeing...just something fun, personal, atleast somewhat romantic and less than 8 hours away. Note: We're not all going together - multiple couples going at different times and just helping each other with ideas.
  8. I bet if they went during the day, there wouldn't be as many older kids there...school being in and all.
  9. Hmmm....when I was a teen, I think the only house I entered without knocking was jlh10101's home. Maybe I shoulda knocked? My friends always knocked, just out of respect. Now, I'm grown and out of my parents home, but I don't knock when I go to my mom's house. I would, but chances are she'd fuss about stopping whatever she was doing to have to come answer it. That and, especially during the summer when the attic fan is on, if she's upstairs (and she always is) she's not going to hear me knock and she disconnected her doorbell. Dad's house - I knock. No tellin' what I'd wa
  10. I don't hate the people that work there, just the people in the crowd and the waiting. My last DMV experience was super quick and had amazing customer service.
  11. I got my license when I was 16 and didn't change it when I turned 18. I waited until I had been married a year and was 7 months pregnant to do it. Then I was stuck with a pregnant photo for several years. I didn't change it when I turned 21 either (to get the 'Under 21' frame removed from my photo)...I just waited until it expired. Little one was almost three when the pregnant photo finally changed. I was pulled over three times during that period and never received a ticket for my license (or anything else, for that matter). It really just depends on the officer - I was lucky. No
  12. Found it. It has lots of people on it. http://www.amazon.com/Night-Rocketown-Wate...k/dp/B00000K4HU Another fantastic concert that I went to was the Manson/Mayhem Fest show over the summer. I've seen Manson before (as most of you know - I used to have a picture of me an him as my avatar and a quote for him as my siggy ) but THIS show was incredible....no props, no crazy stage show....just him and the band on stage.
  13. What pays your bills? I'll have to look up the awake album. I'm still listening to CD's that are yeeeears old. Third Day still makes me cry and I'm not even Christian. Love song, especially. I have an album that came out in like '99 or '00 called 'A night at Rockettown' (or something like that). It's not a concert, but it's an incredible live Christian album.
  14. Hot tea or chocolate....'specially Godiva hot chocolate and a slice of pumpkin cheesecake. Oooooh, now I want to go to Barnes and Noble and visit the cafe.
  15. I was super super super Christian for awhile....I still, even as a 'non Christian' love Skillet...and Third Day...and I still listen to my Sundry album. Talented group of people, for sure.
  16. Oh, I would *kill* to see Three Dog Night in concert....especially in 1969. They're one of my favorites. I've been to dozens upon dozens of shows and concerts, but I do have a few favorites. Otep was my favorite 'energy' concert....it just had a fantastic 'rock' vibe. I wound up with a bleeding face and broken ribs, but it was still awesome. Transiberian Orchestra was my favorite for the show...parts of it I was literally almost in tears, especially when they started playing their version of Flight of the Bumblebee. Bon Jovi has been my favorite concert all-around, which is differen
  17. That was my exact first though. Typically, the first thing a racist or bigot says when you say they're a racist or bigot is 'I have black friends!'
  18. I didn't have caller ID until the other half moved in. I think I had the service, but not a phone with the capabilities. I didn't miss it. There are less than 10 people with my home number and I generally know who's calling by the time of day it rings. Lmao. My response was 'Ma'am, my phone rang...you're calling'.
  19. Don't you hate that? I just had someone call and say 'Who's calling?' when I answered.
  20. I seriously want to come spend a few days with your family. Seriously.
  21. My little one was singing that one yesterday. I have NO idea where she picks this stuff up. I finally made her a mixed cd with some of the songs she loves and always asks for (like 'Boom Boom Pow'), but I'm not really sure where she's hearing them in the first place. She came home a few weeks ago asking if they had 'Disco Stick' on YouTube.
