  1. There has been no proof that going from a hot steamy bathroom to being outside in the chilly dry air helps kids with croup or asthma. Trust me on this one.

My best suggestion is for you to get her an appt with the Atlanta Allergy and Asthma Clinic asap. Do not go to your regular pediatrician for this ... go to a specialist. (You're typing to someone who's child has reactive airway disease aka asthma that cannot be diagnosed for small children.) ;)

Yes, that is just how the Dr. put it. She calls it "seasonal asthma" because it just happens at different times through the year. I 'll try calling the Atlanta Clinic on Monday. Thanks!!

  2. I was going to suggest the Vicks. I, personally, am trying something a little stronger. :ninja:

Just what might that be? I remember my aunt would give my cousin a shot of whiskey for her cough when we were little.

  3. Suggestions?!!!

My 5 year old daughter has seasonal Asthma. I took her to the doctor Thursday and she is on Prednisone and breathing treatments every 4 hours. She is still coughing. I mean at least every 10min. all day long. I have her in the bed with me and still she is coughing in her sleep. It is so sad! :( I have the humidifier going and nothing is helping her! Does anyone have any suggestions? I know hurts and I just can't stand knowing she is so uncomfortable.

  4. Here's the website:

I feel like the "cona-sewer :p" of G.I. doctors. In the last year I have seen every GI doctor in the metro area it feels like. Atlanta GI's are the best. I have had 2 colonoscopies in the last 2 months. Dr. Nesmith is my favorite. He has the best bedside manor and he knows his stuff (gosh I really wanted to use another pun!) Any way don't bother going anywhere near the GI doctors at the new facility at 278 and 120. They are the worst. Good luck!

  5. :o YOU HAVE MY ARMADILLO!!!! I posted last year I'll try to find the pics. So cool! The most informative fact I found out is they are the only predator of Fire Ants and they have followed the Fire Ants from Alabama up highway! To CUTE!! Send him home!!!
  6. Awww, what a great trip down memory lane! When my Dad was transferred to Dobbins AFB in 1973, we lived at the Pine Forest Motel on 41 while our house was being built. Remember how I-75 was not completed back then and you had to get back over on 41 to go north, from Roberts Rd. all the way up to Cartersville? Those were our woods, our playground every day after school, until one day we went out there and the trees were all gone, everything was gone - just miles of mud.

When I became a teenager, I went to work for my orthodontist in the Town & Country shopping center, down in the arcade next to the movie theater. I loved to eat at Rocco's Pub, Los Reyes on Roswell Rd., Cristo's, the Mad Italian, Del Taco, Jimmy the Greek's...

I had a boyfriend who worked at G. Golly Molly's for the longest time! My roommates and I used to frequent a nightclub called Sneaker's, and always - Chattahoochee River Company on Tuesday nights. Does anyone remember Baby Doe's? I think it was supposed to look like an old mine or something. I also remember going to see Jerry Seinfeld perform at A Comic Cafe on Power's Ferry Rd.

I miss those days. So much. :cray:

Do you know if Rocco's is still open? We would go and drink $1.00 Coors light draft, eat chilli, play darts and have Killer Bumble shots. Chuck and I think Jeff (the actor) were the coolest bartenders.

  7. Hurt and Hicks transplant by way of the Campbell High area!

My husband and both grew up here. We went to Due West Elementary Pine Mt. and graduated from North Cobb. Just last night we were talking about going to the Village Inn Pizza barfff-a with our church youth groups. My husband said he ate 15 pieces of pizza on a Sunday night there. Did you ever go to the grave yard next to Marietta High school? There was a tombstone that had makings, I think, of Mary and teasr would come out of her eyes.. Spooky. And how about "Our Place" the under 18 dance place on the square. Good times!

  8. I spoke with an officer at lunch today. He said the man had head trauma and was awake.

I hope along with all the work and repaving the county is doing on Old Cartersville; they have thought to build up the sides of the road! We have had so many deaths on our road!!! And I think some may have been saved if there was not such a drop off! My thoughts are with the man who did wreck today.

  9. My Husband was cracking up!!

He came home saying, "You would have peed on yourself!!

I am SO scared of police.

There is really no reason but if I see just one police car my hands start sweating....

(Probably all the stories my 3 policeman uncles have told me!)

Anyway he took my son to bible school a mile down the street. He had to show ID and insurance 3 times!!

Good Job Paulding County!!! And all the other county's helping out!!

  10. What did you get to spend yours on?

I received my stimulus check. I had thought I would be spending it on something FUN, when we heard about it months ago. Put the check in the bank and used it to catch up on medical bills, paid a huge utility bill, bought some groceries, filled my tank, and well it's almost gone.... :( Nothing too FUN.
