  1. Yes, since it doesn't appear there will be any change (at least not in a good way) regardless who is elected so long as the parties have control of government & the electoral process or while money (rather than ethics, character and the ability to govern) wins elections. As for the original post, why say you are interested in other people's opinions when you have already clearly made up your mind as to what those opinions are and are simply fishing for an argument based on your own narrow views about what other people think? Like it or not you are as bad a troll as anyone else..
  2. Well if Popular Mechanics and Penn and Teller said it, it must be so. Geez.
  3. LOL They also spoke for Obama. Twice. In fact, voters have 'spoken for' every holder of elected office - no matter how ineffective or corrupt they may have demonstrated themselves to be. Getting elected doesn't make an effective leader, nor does it imbue character, ethics or competence. Usually just means you've got the biggest bank account...since a large enough number of people are okay with that, looks like we're stuck with it for the foreseeable future.
  4. What I read said they took her off life support...
  5. I put my little chicken$hit dog in the crate once when it seemed like she had reached full panting/trembling mode and it seemed to calm her down a little bit. On the other hand, the beagle couldn't care less about thunder so long as it doesn't delay his supper.
  6. Haven't been to the new hospital but did go to the ER at the old one in 2010 & again in 2013 for fairly serious injuries and the experiences were like night & day - the first was horrible, waited literally all night to be seen. Second trip didn't even stop in the waiting room - of course that may have been due to the fact that my blood pressure had dropped nearly into the NONE category but was still nice to be taken right back & seen immediately. My niece's OB sent her to the ER once during her pregnancy despite her calling during office hours for the very reason that she DIDN
  7. Probably true for most professions...personally I think computerization plays a large role in the diminished satisfaction some people derive from their work. I know that's the case with mine...
  8. Um, that driver's license mess was Nathan Deal and/or the Ga Legislature's doing...
  9. Maybe the dad should have used an attorney after all...
  10. I generally don't say this kind of thing about people's posts, but that one ^^ is as dumb as it is irrelevant...
  11. What the hell? This is a case of YOU reading more than was there. His post was about the man's state of mind & intent. You made it political.
  12. Why someone would continue to engage in any kind of discussion with a person they consider delusional is beyond me...old advice is usually the best advice. If something bothers/annoys/upsets you, ignore it and it will eventually go away.
  13. So is this another Nathan Deal scenario where a resignation puts an end to whatever investigation was taking place? Really not much incentive for ethical behavior if elected/appointed officials know they can do whatever they please and then just quit when someone turns up the heat. That needs to change. Soon.
  14. That^^ We didn't get to pick from several entrees, either. You ate what they served, or brought a sandwich and chips from home. I would rather my (imaginary) children spent their time in school being educated. They can have (imaginary) snacks at home.
  15. Well duh. You can't text or post on FB while you're digging around in your purse. Get your priorities straight, man
  16. LOL Pretty sure our whole financial system is rigged. And our government broken beyond repair.
  17. Yeah me neither. I have trouble keeping up with what's going on around here most days anymore, much less elsewhere. **Surprised to see Kenya included. For some reason I would have thought not...
  18. Could also be something like West Nile Virus...similar symptoms. In fact, seems to me there are a host of diseases and conditions that start with flu-like symptoms, nausea, etc. Including the flu.
