  1. Easy to tell who has/does uses/d MSN messenger and who hasn't/doesn't. Does it still even exist?
  2. Well gee, won't that just add to the already crippling debt? Don't feed poor people but when it comes to keeping ebola away from YOU AND YOURS spare no expense? I mean, it can't be cheap to babysit adults in different locales all over the US or to provide a containment area with 'caretakers' to tend to them while they are isolated from everyone else-including each other? It's difficult enough to provide the proper hospital environment to treat and keep them isolated. Do you give any real thought to this stuff or do you *think* you already know it all and can't be bothered? It's not just
  3. Oh most of your comments don't affect me one way or another, it's just that smug 'I told you so' crap you insist on repeating as if it makes any difference whatsoever at this point. If that's how you want to be perceived, have at it...
  4. And where will they be quarantined, their homes? By whom and how would it be enforced?
  5. How many times do you intend to repeat this? It's unnecessary and annoying & nobody here is so stupid they didn't get the message the first dozen times or so... There seems to be one common denominator between these medically knowledgeable people - selfishness....they want to be limited as little as possible so they follow whatever useless mimimal protocols they have to (self-monitoring temperature) so they can do what they want, when they want no matter who they endanger and only when they become symptomatic will they separate themselves from other people as they should have from the
  6. I think it takes more than a couple/few people to constitute an attack on an entire city...
  7. I will tell you that in most cases, if you are very ill you are much better off in ICU than not. Good thoughts for a quick recovery for your grandson.
  8. Happy Birthday to you! Have a great day~
  9. That doesn't make any of it right...abuse of authority and fiduciary responsibility is wrong - to do it because someone said things that pissed you off is about as bad as it gets.
  10. Well I meant in the future but I guess that's beside the point since you appear to have taken my comment as an accusation of some kind... I don't believe I asked for an explanation, either, for that matter.
  11. I wouldn't let my dog outdoors unaccompanied if there are coyotes coming around. Seriously.
  12. Well, it looks like unsociable, reclusive types might have the upper hand after all...
  13. Um, sounds to me like it was mostly old and useless weaponry that was dangerous mostly due to it's 'degraded' condition. I think some context has been ignored here...
  14. Your chances of surviving a fist fight are much better than if you are run over by a car....
  15. I thought there were two dogs and also a cat? I probably missed something along the way....
  16. Ah I saw a legal ad in the local paper a week or three ago for forfeiture of property in close proximity of illegal drugs or however they phrase it - and I kid you not, the most significant item was some kind of gun (didn't pay much attention to that after I saw how ridiculous the other two items were but pretty sure it wasn't a hand gun)... along with the gun, they confiscated and were all set to keep for themselves: a shadowbox and a SCARFACE poster. Seriously?
  17. Well I'm surprised and a little disappointed by some of the comments on this thread. Others are not surprising at all.
  18. It wasn't free money! Please stop calling it free money. (Not referring to the post prior to this one, but to an earlier post about the myths vs the facts about the airport - I am not sure of the meaning based on context in which it was used in the post prior to mine...) At least put quotation marks around it, if you must use the phrase at all. If it comes from the government it is taxpayer money. Period.
  19. I don't see how this is any different than the average person out to make all the money he can, by whatever means available...legal or otherwise. Taking something that doesn't belong to you and to which you are not entitled is stealing, plain and simple, and the officers participating in this criminal behavior should be arrested same as anybody else. This is the kind of abuse of power that results when a sufficient number of people operate under the assumption that 'if you're not doing anything wrong you have nothing to worry about' right up til it affects them personally. This blat
  20. I wonder if they feel a bit like someone does who joined the military during peacetime when war is declared & they realize they are about to go into combat. Doubt any of them ever dreamed they'd face such a situation...but I second your kudos to them for hanging in to care for the Ebola patients. I don't know that I wouldn't walk away. And not slowly, either.
  21. LOL Anybody who took the time to properly investigate the problem before pricing the repair...and for that matter, anybody who bothered to look at the switch. Telling you it was a bad breaker when it was a disconnected wire at the switch isn't correct, technically or otherwise.
