Don't know the name other than it's my son-in-laws band. My daughter and her hiusband live in Newport, RI, and she said he had a band. First thing I asked was does he play base or sing. "No Dad, he has a bagpipe and drum band." What a shocker. There are about 20 people in the band, all Irish. They played in the NYC St. Patrick's day parade last year and again this year. He is supposed to send me a CD of things they play. And he's not even 40 years old. Talented even if he is my son-in-law.

Someone said they (BOE) are using it for additional office space. How many people work for the BOE? Why don't they demolish it and sell the property for commercial use. That way we could get a McDonalds or Burger king in New Hope. If sold it probably would be a new gas station.

Lockheed union 709 voted yesterday to not strike. They accepted Lockheed's offer. I heard some say on TV with the job market like it was and cost going up they couldn't afford a strike. Besides the last two times they went out on strike they lost and took what the company offered. After the last one the union lost a lot of members. Here is some of what was offered: - 3% first year, 3% second year and 2.5% third year - added $11 a month to retirement. Is that $11 a month times years of service or just $11 a month period added? Wonder if that meant those on retirement now get $11 more? -

The TV stations do a good job showing what's going on but when the storm starts hitting the more densely populated/rich ares they forget about us in Paulding and Floyd. Before you start staining you need to check the condition of the boards and support structure. Does the header next to the house have adequate bolts into your house structure? Do the supports (4 X 4's, 4 X 6's, etc.) have adequate fasteners (carriage bolts for instance)? Are the joist supported with joist hangers or a ledger? Are any deck boards split, damaged or starting to rot? These should be fixed before staining. My daughter is a college graduate and has been into computers for a good while. She has been training gov't. civilians and military personnel all over the country in cyber security. Well Sunday she got her Masters of Science in Cyber Security with a perfect 4.0 average and was an honor graduate. I guess she takes after her Dad. (no wise cracks Johnny J)

Yeah, must be a teenager you're talking about. I heard that from my kids growing up. I went on to explain that life is about choices and they should consider making the right choice or it could affect them the rest of their life. Either make the right choice or you may end up flipping burgers or in a cell with someone named Bubba. Besides, if it is a teenager remember you are the parent and not one of their buddies. It's not a matter of voting on what they want or not. Just think that when they become parents they will be paid back.

I've used different people over the years but after having Ragsdale come out and explain what I needed and what it would cost (reasonable) made a good impression on me. I wouldn't use anyone else. Met Mr. Ragsdale several years ago and he was very nice and appreciated my business. Suggest don't take a chance on any others. Good, honest company and they really are reasonable on prices.
