GD: I saw it written that Russia's cyberattack on our electoral system was an act of war. Using that logic, aiding and abetting the 'enemy' would be treason. There is a graph or two from the opinion column "The right turn" by Jennifer Rubin that is amazing in clarity. Your distilling your response to the word 'horsecrap' to a discussion of justice and injustice tells me you support those that are no longer "capable of defending our national interests and Constitution from foreign enemies " much less being capable of recognizing the difference between justice or injustice.

I always thought that one of the things that united Americans was our down right damnation of injustice. I understand that injustice is rampant and I wouldn't give any Democrat an A or even a "B" on their record of opposing injustice. Part of this is understandable given that compromise is the art of politics and injustice is a hard taskmaster. I can say that I've watched enough Fox News including clips to understand how they report the news, avoid reporting the news and downright - especially in the opinion areas - misinform. Often they use the same tactics - straw men, down right lies,

When you realize the above was brought to you by the forces of freedom and small government in America, you quickly realize that the entire Republican agenda of a smaller, less intrusive government is as big a lie as Donald Trump's assertion that his campaign had absolutely no contact with the Russians. Hopefully those true believers of the right will begin to see that the exception(s), are the rule. But how else could it be in the upsidedown world of Trump. Hopefully this Aesop fable should help. I was on to him long before the Republican National Convention ... before he g

To give folks some perspective regarding the $3 million fine; for a billionaire, a $3 million dollar fine is like a $300 fine is to a person making $100,000. According to Forbes, the owner of Hobby Lobby, David Green, is worth $5.4 billion meaning that fine is has the deterrent power of a $10 parking ticket. pubby

When I see this coming after ... ... these posts ... I have no question of who the haters are ... In fact, the way I read it, the right hates Obama and the right hates Hillary. The left does have hate ... and it is for people who lie, people who cheat and people who steal ... yep, their hatred is not aimed at personalities so much as toward injustice. pubby

Is Forbes Lying About Russian Billionaires?

Another straw man argument as the choice is not between having one rich person or no rich person ... A better question is would you vote for a society that restricts wealth to one individual condemning the rest to poverty and slavery for the benefit of that one? Or, would you vote for a society that creates opportunities for a very narrow portion of the population leaving some comfortable but the majority in poverty ? Or would you vote for a society that empowers the broadest possible distribution of wealth so that most are wealthy, many are well off and none are slaves and few l -
... and Atlanta, who has the plans to turn the airport into a second Atlanta airport going back 40 years now gets an airport; has some 900 adjacent acres for a really big airport and the judge and chicken little four just 'gave the whole shebang' to the city of Atlanta. So, what this exercise will have done is turn over the operations and benefits of the second Atlanta airport to the city of Atlanta and Paulding will have no say whatsoever in the operation of the facility. Good job, chicken little four... this is what I predicted would happen and we can see you're doing your best to

That I called him an orange orangutan is something I've been doing since long before the election. Because he was a serial liar with an ego the size of the planet mars ... and with a grasp of reality that told me his mentality was from another planet as well ... I didn't vote for him the first time. It is said by a famous Republican that you can fool some of the people all the time is no reason for me to change my estimation of the most unfit person to ever occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. - Infinitely more unfit than Dick or any one else who has served either before or after that embar

Nope; playing with your bigotry I knew it would get a rise out of some folks. Besides, anyone of any integrity with any ties to NY have done their best to sever every tie they can to the orange orangutan. I'm expecting them to pass a law in Albany disowning the jerk. pubby

What you are failing to mention Tundra is that the designation as a 139a airport also qualifies this airport for a heightened level of security and opens the facility to additional FAA grants for commercial airports which could amount to millions in additional investment annually. Further, meeting the security requirements is akin to obtaining a subsidy for corporations which would be inclined to locate here over other non 130a facilities which can't offer the same level of security or would require they pay extra for that security. pubby

And here I thought all this taking down of statues of southern civil war heros was because all the yahoos have adopted the Donald, who when asked about John McCain, though he was a loser because he was captured. I mean anyone who thinks that can't have any consideration for Robert E. Lee - loser - or Stonewall Jackson - KIA and therefore a loser or Jeff Davis - another loser. I mean with a winner like Trump on the scene, why would you consider any respect for losers would not be banished. After all, the vacuum of heroes on horseback statues will need to be filled and I know Donald has his

Tundra: You insult my intelligence. You can't say that I'm not right and then say the exact thing I said ... that commercial service is a scheduled service. pubby

Tundra: Commercial service is not limited to aircraft carrying 150+ people. There are many smaller commercial aircraft that are both prop and jet powered. Commercial service allows scheduled flights going to specific places that are capable of carrying people based on the common carrier model. Why should anyone read the rest of your statement when you start with a distortion of this magnitude. pubby

Actually, the reason the Republicans don't have a plan that is different from obamacare is that Obama appropriated the Heritage foundation privatized insurance program. Obamacare was, for all intents and purposes, romneycare from MA - that maintained the role of private insurance companies in the provision of health care insurance. And that element was written largely by the insurers. BTW: you're suggestion that 18 million of the 24 million who would lose health care is actually not due to the failure of the market exchanges; rather it is the inability of medicaid to keep up with the

It is called due process and I do think that the defense attorney would be wise to request a jury trial. The ordeal of being charged and standing trial is part of the punishment as well as the cost of the defense. I'll leave judgment to the jury which gets to hear all the facts. pubby -

No, they don't but then that is whey they learned a long time ago to retract stories and why, in essence, they lobbied to have laws that limit the depth of their liability by their willingness to retract stories. As the right and their gross elevation of property rights over even the lives of living and breathing human beings, there is and will always be a discussion about where one's property rights end and where one's human rights begin. I know, in your mind property rights are always superior whereas many, whose belief system is based on the enlightenment, recognize that human rights a -
Network as a great movie. I've seen it a dozen times. I especially liked it when the Chairman of CCA convinces Howard (the guy speaking above) that he was the God and he wanted Howard to tell everyone how great a corporate dominated world would be ... killed the ratings so the programming people had to kill Howard. Some terrorists gunned him down during a spiel. pubby

From the detail in the article cited as well as the source(s), I think we're not quite there yet. That aside, like the obvious collusion of the Trump campaign and Russia, the total number of stars and the fact we can now prove there are orbs, many with the right mix of chemicals, heat and light for life to exist suggests that finding that truth is just a matter of continuing the investigation. pubby -
