You're right about the waste, and it shows how screwed up they are when military personnel have to take a furlough day, unbelievable !!!! Never heard of such a thing, never happened during my 21 years, we were lucky if you could get a pass to go off base, only 15% of the entire company were allowed on pass at a time. Why would anyone want to join the military now, ......makes me sick.

It might be just me, but I just don't consider our Military and Defense of our Nation as a "Pet Program"...Maybe for some it is.

I think some furloughs need to be taken in DC........$100 million trip come to mind. So it's the vet's fault because you didn't want to pay for services..

I hope you are right, I know Julie personally, (lived next door a few years back) and I know her love for animals and the care she gives. She has been our vet for over 20 years, and will continue to be. Sad all the way around.

Just my personal opinion, all this money should go into a special fund to purchase needed equipment for officers, help families of injured and fallen officers....not for the DA to use for his special fun and games.

My piece of heaven out in the country, my dogs, my guns, my wife. The piece and quiet, cannot see another house, the birds singing, the coyotes pooping.......but hate them damn ground squirrels.
