I am in shock, RIP my friend. My heart and prayers go out to his lovely family.

  2. Prayers for all involved.

If you go down Hwy 61 from Ridge Rd, come to the end, at the RR tracks, go right, keep going til you go thru a way stop, and the next intersection (not the s/d) will be Harlan Lane Rd on the right, and Lake Paradise Rd is on the left. I think it's Chevron station on the right, just past Harlan Lane Road.

It happened "NEAR" Harlan Lane Rd, not "AT" Harlan Lane Rd. I just wanted to clarify that bit of info!!!

    Thanks !!!

  3. You got it all wrong stradial ...

Do you think a pink bushmaster with a 100 round magazine will shoot any less straight if it is pink? the color of a gun doesn't change anything about the person or the gun; it is as deadly in hot pink as it is in gun metal gray.

And it has nothing whatsoever to do with the medieval idea of torturing someone by branding them with a Big A on their forehead. And you probably know as well as I that those who are okay committing adultery communicate just as well with a tanned hand with the lite-skinned ring on their left hand. Subtlety, my friend and certainly not barbaric.

But guns, and especially big-assed bushmasters with 100-round magazines are the exact opposite of subtle.

Now I'm sure that little .25 cal. Baretta stuck in a back pocket could be nickel plated; or it could be pink but it isn't going to show anyway. But when it is pulled from the pocket or purse, it will still proclaim whether it is hot pink or just 'hot' (as in illegal.)

If you're pulling it for the right reasons - i.e. self protection - you won't give a damn. You just want it to do its job and it wouldn't make any difference what color it is.

But if you're pulling it because you're trying to intimidate someone by showing how macho you are, then I hope don't shoot when people start laughing at you. I mean, the whole purpose of the pink gun is to make those folks who pull a gun for the wrong reasons to look so laughably stupid that they just won't do it.

More than that, if you have a pink .25 and someone pulls a nickel plated one on you, you get protections like 'stand your ground' would give ... bang bang.

See, STradial, I figure that gun crime will go down because no one wants to pull a pink gun ... and if you pull any other color gun, it is like saying hunting season is open and you are the target.

How long do you have to stay on the "Stupid" Meds they put you on?? This is so far out.....,Wow!!!!!

  4. They went with a MotoTRBO system which is digital but is not decoded by any commercially-available scanner. Scanner listeners are out of luck with the new system.

And just so you know, MotoTRBO is a proprietary system by Motorola that was never intended for use for public safety; it is a business radio system. (Idiot move number one of our county commission). The "standard" for digital public safety radio systems is the P25 system, which is not only open (non-proprietary) but is also what is used by EVERY county that surrounds us that has gone digital. (Idiot move number two of our county commission).

When our county chose the proprietary MotoTRBO system, they instantly killed any hope of interop between our neighboring counties with P25.

Really !! Are they really that stupid???? :o

  5. Yes, the book involved tobacco companies and the movie involved guns.

Of course the Republican Congress in 2005, passed legislation making it impossible to sue gun manufacturers for their complicity in the deaths wrought by their product.

This was done after bushmaster and the gun dealer whose 'security' against theft was dismal, settled a cast in 2004 involving the victims in the DC sniper case.

The incentives of rising violence are such that having guns in the hands of criminals - making sure that criminals can get guns makes me wonder if the real agenda of the NRA and gun industry is only to sell more guns.

  6. I tried this one year and it's really pretty good.

    CROCKPOT TURKEY BREAST turkey breast

1 packet of onion soup mix

    1 can of cranberry sauce

    salt and pepper to taste

Sprinkle salt and pepper (to taste) and the packet of onion soup mix on the top and bottom of turkey breast.Add cranberry sauce to top of turkey breast and cook in crockpot on low overnight (8 hours) or for three to four hours on high.

Sounds good, think I'll try it....Do you use the smoked boneless, or just a Boneless Turkey Breast?
