  12. My kids have to settle for public school but nonetheless these extra fees seem unfair and unecessary
  13. http://www.stretcher.com/stories/12/12aug06c.cfm First, because your refrigerator will be running less, it will generate less heat, which will help your house remain cooler in the summer. Second, you'll have a large pre-chilled reservoir of water, which is great for drinking or making lemonade.

  15. So what if could use my Social Security money now. Lets face it. I would have to be 65 to see the benefit and 69 to see the full amount. I have paid enough in to cover my student loans and being a diabetic will probably not live long enough to collect anyway. The government tracks what I paid in. It expected th fund will be gone in the years 2042 and this year Social Security is paying out more than it takes in. Why not match my student loan balance with the Social Security balance and call it even? Considering the time value of money it would probably be better to do this now rather than wait
  16. I believe its just everyones sense that the economy is hurting. The Hope Scholarship was funded by the lottery although I don't believe politicians use the money for education. The same will go for public gambling as the government will dip their hands in those funds. The worry about gambling is the idea that people will end up spending their hard earned money or their government checks on gambling instead of feeding their family. The shift is one group that believes the government can save them from gambling and another that believes you are responsible enough on your own. We can hope people
  17. I am curious about the name. I have a good friend named Robert Crowe and his family married into the Duck family. Isn't it neat to have Ducks and Crows in the same gaggle. I assume the name was from someone named Crowe. A lot of little towns popped up because it was easier to deliver mail by carrier. Mail would be delivered to the most prominent hose and the home owner served as the post master. As towns grew the county seat i.e. Dallas soon had their own post office.
  18. Did you notice the Andersonville in the picture above? My best guess is Andersonville was located 2 miles form Acworth in the Butler Creek S/C area. It was named for Chuck Anderson who had a stagecoach company and post office there out of his home. He moved his business to Marietta when the railroad came through and thus died the town. You may not that Anderson trucking is still in business today.
  19. I have seen it suggested you use in old ink pen holder like the plastic bic pen without the ink assembly but it did not work for me. I would like to clean up some game cubes I have.
