There is no way to confirm some of the stories. If there was a fire in 1904 it would have been recorded in papers. An alienist is a person who practiced a pseudoscience in those days. Still far fetched. I did read an obit of a lady who attended church at New Hope regularly for 75 years who died in the 1920's. If the church burned there would have been some mention.
