We check meat sales and stock up wherever and whatever is on sale. We vacuum seal everything so it will hold up much longer. We shop at Kroger. Kids 12 and under? Keep them away from me please. Our 11 year old grand daughter eats like a horse! She laughs at the 12 and under free menu. HA-HA-HA! Luckily she actually does look her age, although a smidge taller than others her age, but generally she looks like any other normal 11 year old girl. The girl can just EAT!

Swans are VERY territorial. They will run off any other birds they deem a threat. Mallards are small so maybe he doesn't see them as threatening. Her Pekins are large 10-12 pounders, they might pose a threat. We wondered if the ducks would even know to be afraid of a Swan, they have never been around one. Would instinct kick in and they would just "know"? Swans will kill Canada Geese if given the chance. Many times the Geese will fly over a lake and if they see a Swan, they will not even land.

We ordered some Swan decoys after I learned Canada Geese are terrified of Swans. I hope they work. I plan on tying them to 10-12 feet lengths of string and let them float about in front of the docks. If not guess I will just have to take my chances with the shotgun. I can't take the nasty little crap machines much longer. I would but real Swans to put on the lake but they would also chase off or kill Blondie"s ducks.

The deck is fully permitted. Archadeck builds such a fine deck they have no problem exceeding state requirements. I will NOT deal with the stupid door alarms that are required. When the weather permits we open the house up, including the double French doors on the screen porch and the single door going into the kitchen and we are looking at screening out double French doors in the bedroom to be able to open them up too.
