Don, There are not many train shows or good train shops in this area. Have you looked into joining a club? There are some for N gauge as well as the other gauges. I worked for a real one for 35 years (NS) and have collected over the years but the new stuff they are coming out with is worlds ahead of what I have (the old kit cars). I was told (second hand information)the student was taking "night" classes. We lost our son in an accident, please pray for all the people involved, the family, driver of the car, school bus driver, EMS crew, law enforcement members ect.

If you want to drive to Gatlinburg, stay at Eight Gables Bed & Breakfast. It is located just north of Gatlinburg. Exceptional food, beautiful rooms but I must add it takes deep pockets (Last trip for us it was around $170 plus tax and tip per night.)
